By the time Shane left, Skai was full of smiles. She freshened up quickly and headed out to visit Kiera.
If there was anyone who knew how to handle boy trouble a lot, it was Kiera.
Ding! Dong!
"I'm coming!" Kiera's chirpy voice called out from inside her house. A couple of seconds later she got the door and opened it to see her friend.
"Skai."
"Hello, Kii."
"Oceana! Skai's here! Come quick," Kiera beckoned.
Skai shook her head recalling that the second buhu friend of hers was around. When Oceana popped her head from behind the kitchen wall, Skai knew it was already too late to call Kiera aside and give her the gist.
"You're just in time," Oceaned boomed. "We made apple pie. Come on in!"
Together, Kiera and Skai walked inside and settled on the couch.
"Girl, it's been forever."
