"Blood!"
Bai Xiao sat up with a start, dizziness washing over her in waves. She touched her forehead, forcing herself to wake up.
She looked toward the bathroom. The sound of running water had stopped, and the smell of blood was coming from there.
"Ye Huang!"
Bai Xiao's heart suddenly panicked. Without thinking, she rushed into the bathroom.
Ye Huang, bare-chested, was treating a wound on his shoulder in front of the mirror. When he saw Bai Xiao burst in, he quickly covered his shoulder with a towel.
"Are you hurt?" Bai Xiao stood barefoot at the doorway of the bathroom. "I saw it."
Ye Huang remained silent for a second, then tossed the towel aside and continued to treat the wound.
It was a gunshot wound, not deep, and the bullet had already been removed. What was needed now was antiseptic and to stop the bleeding.
"Shall I call a doctor for you? Is that okay?" Bai Xiao's voice trembled as she asked.
"No need."
"But you could get an infection."
"I won't."
