Ouroboros, the original and supreme being of this mythological plain. A serpent devouring itself infinitely, whose truly infinite mass encompassed all that was to exist. From its serpentine coils the fundamentals of the cosmos as we know it were born. Space, time, laws, logic, dimensions, sets, duality, life, death. However, that was all that existed, for this cosmology to flourish into what it is today, Ouroboros created the first great gods to govern this domain, and expand it. With their creation, the first mythologies were born and the hierarchy of the world began. Layers were developed as newer mythologies flourished, each layer distinguished by the inaccessible gaps between them. Eventually, the final layer was developed and humanity was born.
The age of gods slowly came to an end, as the gods passed on and their will was passed to their human descendants, they found a way to flourish. Some of these gods managed to find a way to reincarnate, believing this would allow them to carry out their ambitions firsthand. Over time these descendants would become recognized in the modern world. Eventually, society would learn of its place in the cosmos, they would adapt and educate the next generation. Soon, the world would complete its metamorphosis and the next age of gods would begin.
