A few carts loaded with crates of flintlock muskets, munitions and cannons mounted on wheels were towed by oxen down the firing range. Under the watchful supervision of General Ricardo, a battalion of cadets marched in unison and found their positions facing the dummy targets in the range. After they have settled, Ricardo ordered two squads of men to line up and get their muskets and munitions from Peter, the newly promoted quartermaster, a military rank responsible for keeping the military supplied.
