Chapter 17 - The Aftermath

Kratos' sneer widened into a malicious grin as he surveyed his adversaries. "You really think you can stop me?" he scoffed, his dark aura pulsing with malevolence. "I am the king of the dark world, and you are nothing but insects in my path." Arjuna, Hanuman, and Li Ming-Jun exchanged determined glances, standing their ground. They had come too far to back down now. They knew they had to stop Kratos before he could unleash his dark plans upon their world.Without warning, Kratos unleashed a barrage of dark energy, sending powerful spells and attacks towards them. Arjuna skillfully deflected the dark magic with his arrows, while Hanuman used his strength and agility to dodge the attacks and counter with his own fierce punches and kicks. Li Ming-Jun, utilizing his profound knowledge of martial arts and magic, weaved through the onslaught, casting powerful spells to keep Kratos at bay.The battle raged on, with the dark fortress trembling from the intensity of their clash. However, Kratos' dark powers seemed to be growing stronger with each passing moment. He laughed manically, reveling in the chaos he was unleashing.

In the midst of the battle, Kratos managed to slip past their defenses and retreated to a portal that led to the dark world. Before they could react, he disappeared into the swirling vortex, leaving a taunting laughter in his wake.Li Ming-Jun, with his deep wisdom, looked around and said, "Let us leave this place. It is no longer safe."

The trio made their way back to the portal that led to their world, and as they stepped through, they found themselves back in familiar territory. As they went about their tasks, Arjuna couldn't shake off a nagging feeling that Kratos might not have been the true mastermind behind the dark world's invasion. He couldn't shake off the suspicion that there might be more to the story than they had uncovered. One day, while researching ancient texts about the dark world, Li Ming-Jun stumbled upon a clue that sent chills down their spines. It hinted that Kratos might have been a mere pawn in a larger scheme, orchestrated by a shadowy figure who had yet to reveal themselves.
