Chapter 12 - Point System

Lu Fan paid little to no attention to what Que Ling'er was saying.

He could directly receive his academic knowledge from the system.

Not to mention knowledge specific to the Hua nation, he could instantly understand all the knowledge in the absolute domain related to academia.

Effectively becoming the topmost academician in the domain or even the universe if he was willing and able to spend his points.

Speaking of points, he already had knowledge about them but did not have time to find out how to earn them.

And that's exactly what he was doing instead of paying attention to teacher Que's class.

'System, explain the concept of points.'

*Ding*

[Points are the general representation of how much the universe can accept your creations]

[

Since the beginning of existence, the 'Universe' has been the greatest construct of creation.

From null came One, from One came Two, From Two came Three, and Three begot All things.

If equated to A.O.C points;

One is represented by Creation Points (CP)

Two is represented by Idea Points (IP)

Three is represented by Experience Points (EXP).

The current level of the host does not allow you to interfere with null thus all points must come from the universe or existences within it.

]

This is going in a weird direction.

Daoism, Taoism, and others…

Looks like I need to start reading mythology and the like.

'System, how do I earn points?'

[

How to earn points.

Experience points can be earned by several means.

It is random.

The bigger the impact of your actions on fate and destiny, the more points you will earn.

Can be earned by the host or others through the guidance of the host through the principle of causality.

Idea Points can be earned by the host through getting a substantial and clear idea or understanding of a natural creation (already existing) or a creation resulting from a combination of natural creations as ingredients.

Host can also create through alchemy, weapon refining, puppetry, rune, and formation mastery.

The number of points depends on the value of your creation.

Creation Points can be earned by the host through the usage of universal energies (Heavenly Qi) to create any existence in line with natural law.

The higher the existence the higher the number of creation points. Requires level 90.

]

[The system has provided a points conversion function:

1 CP = 100 IP = 10000 EXP

The higher the level of the host, the harder it will be to earn points.

This is because the rules of the universe will restrict most of your actions unless host becomes a level 99 existence.

The universe is a level 98 existence.]

[

Any creation that is not in line with the universal laws will require the use of creation points.

Any 'Evil' creations will cost more points than existences of the same level. They will also be targeted by the Dao.

Host is advised to always create within the allowance of the law of nature and all living beings or store the creation out of reach of the law.

]

Lu Fan could not help but sigh after reading the long and convoluted explanation.

His worldview was overturned once again.

In a more 'stupid' explanation;

If a world-class chef was making his star dish, it would surely turn out delicious.

However, if Lu Fan added something to the dish and it turns out horrendous, he will earn experience points.

He has changed the fate of the dish. Maybe even ruined the chef's reputation.

Similarly, if Lu Fan understood and conceptualized a new product and its creation method with existing or new ingredients, he will earn Idea points.

As for creation points, he also didn't know how to earn them before his existence breaks through level 99.

Plus, he can directly convert them with the system function.

'System, I know you can't tell me about your origins, but I am sure you used the systems from novels, games, and animations as the template for your manifestation'

There was a short silence….

*ding*

[Correct.]

'Then shouldn't you offer rewards or the like?

To give an example, some systems give rewards for level-ups and achievement. Others even give rewards for breathing.

Should you not be the best of the best, why don't you have them.'

There was silence for a time.

Lu Fan had already noticed that although the system was meticulous and did not have any loopholes, it was like a robot.

As long as it made sense and was according to the rules, the system would allow it.

To put it simply it had OCD or perfectionism.

*ding*

[

The host has discovered a shortcoming.

The system is a support type existence, meaning it assists the host.

Any achievements of the host will be rewarded with a return card depending on the impact it has on the universe. The return can be x1 to x100000 point card.

Depending on the nature of the achievement, the points might be CP, IP, or EXP.

]

Lu Fan could not help but smile foolishly.

He had finally managed to find the perfect loophole that even the system could not fix, Perfectionism.

This 'bug' might have little use in the early stages, but the more powerful he became the more useful this loophole would be.

To put it simply, a chef with cheap ingredients can only do so much, a writer with a crappy storyline can only write a crappy story.

But with this loophole, the system would produce top-notch cuisine with cheap ingredients, and all he had to do was provide ingredients and points.

A golden ingredient and a trash ingredient made no difference.

They cost the same.

This made Lu Fan so happy that he did not notice that everyone in class was looking at him. Who wouldn't?

Teacher Que's mood was clear for all to see, yet this idiot dared to break into a laugh.

And it was right when she had put out a difficult question for the class to answer.

In this kind of situation, one should avoid drawing attention to themselves.

But who would have expected Lu Fan to laugh? Even Que Ling'er was dumbfounded.

Was he so capable that he did not put her in his eyes?

"Lu Fan, good, you can come forward and solve this problem.

Otherwise, write a thousand-word essay on what is so funny."

Dangerous lights flashed past her eyes as she stared at Lu Fan.
