The phone did not usually ring unless it was Lee Min Hyun. Those short but nevertheless sweet conversations with him became Ah Yeon's only source of communication during the lonely days she continued to spend in his apartment. And that was why it was both surprising and encouraging when for the first time in weeks, the ringing phone showed the caller's name other than Min Hyun's.
"Da Hye?"
Ah Yeon's voice sounded rather hoarse from not talking to anyone all morning. Kang Da Hye, as if becoming self-conscious herself, cleared her own throat and said,
"Yes, it's me! Did I wake you up?"
"No, have you seen the time? It's almost noon."
Da Hye laughed. Just because Ah Yeon was now living a life of forced leisure still did not mean that she would turn into someone like her. Her friend's restlessness was a sign that there was still hope.
