The scorching summer heat was so unbearable, that even someone as strong and sturdy as Lee Min Hyun was now ready to give up and just lay down on the ground and let the heat take care of the rest. Instead, however, he just closed his tired eyes and leaned back in the plastic chair in front of the convenience store across the street from his building, melting into its sticky surface.
"What are you doing here? You're gonna get a heatstroke."
Min Hyun opened his eyes to the sound of a familiar voice and saw Seo Ah Yeon standing right behind his chair, covering his head from the destructive rays of the sun with both of her hands.
"You're here? Took you long enough, I thought I'd become one with this fucking chair."
Ah Yeon playfully stuck her tongue out and brushed his complaint off with a light scoff.
"You could have waited inside, they have AC in the store, you know."
