Krr! Krr!
The sound of pen on paper filled the room, as a pen scribbled. Like a sword leaving in it's wake blood, it moved fast and gracefully, behind it a path of ink.
"Damn! So much paper! I thought I left all this behind in uni!" Alden hall grumbled as he stretched in his seat.
His burly arms stretched as far as they could, and his long curly hair danced about as his head tilted back.
Taking a short moment to look around his spacious office, Alden fell into thought.
It had been 6 months since the false gate incident. It was the most difficult dungeon Alden had ever faced in his life, and what he learned from it made him wonder just how strong he was. It made him wonder just how he would defend all those that depended on him with his meager strength.
At that moment, the door to the office opened. Walking in, was a young man, his built small, but enormous power emanating from him.
"AHH prince!" Alden stood up from the chair.
"Have you come to rescue me from this hell!?"
Prince shook his head pitifully, as he dropped the stack of paperwork he carried unto Alden's desk.
"Nope, I've actually come to turn up the heat." He flashed an apologetic grin."Lily said to give you this..."
Despite the look of dejection on his face, Alden actually felt some joy inside. It was because he remembered how just 6 months back, he had almost lost the person before him.
Thankfully he had saved him.
A smile flashed across Alden's face, and he placed his hands on Prince's shoulders.
"Prince, I'm going to need a little favour."
Prince's eyes narrowed, as he cautiously asked.
"About what?"
"Cover for me. Tell Lily something came up. I need to escape all of this junk." Alden said, his eyes full of hope.
"Man, that's a bit... You know how she gets..."
"Come on Prince!" Alden pleaded. "I'm a legendary S-class Ranger. I can't be sitting in an office doing..." His hands waved dramatically over the paperwork."this!"
After much hesitation, Prince sighed.
"Fine, fine than."
A joyful smile filled Alden's face.
"Thanks man!" Rainbow like energy shone, and with that Alden disappeared.
Prince could only sigh as he shook his head.
"What did I get myself into?"

Sarah Foster sat alone in a restaurant, as she ate some ice-cream. She was in the far corner, and she wore a cap to try and stay less noticeable.
This was the place she normally came to when she felt like relieving stress. It really helped, since most of her time was spent in dungeons fighting monsters.
It really wasn't an easy job...
As her mind drifted, she remembered something.
Someone.
"Alden Hall" she muttered. The strange boy who had jumped from F rank to S rank. He was really something else wasn't he?
She was sure that he had enough power to defeat her.
He has recently opened a Guild, and he had requested her to join but...
She couldn't entertain him, since she had people she helped. Being in a guild meant leaving them.
So, she couldn't join his guild.
As she dropped deeper into her thoughts, someone sat before her, even without her knowing.
"Nice focus."
The voice startled her, making her freeze. before her sat Alden with a plate of waffles.
"Alden? What are you doing here?" Sarah Foster asked, full of shock.
"Well, I saw you her and came to recruit you." He said, not cutting corners. He flashed her a smile as stuffed a piece of waffle in his mouth.
"I can't join your guild." An equally straightforward answer came his way. Sarah Foster's face stayed stoic, not showing any emotion.
"Why not? I'd like to know." Alden said as he stuffed some more waffle in his mouth.
Sarah Foster looked down, her green eyes thoughtful. After staying silent a while, she spoke.
"Alden," she said, seemingly choosing her words carefully."There are people who generally, are too weak to join a guild, or raid high level dungeons, but have families to feed."
Alden listened attentively.
"I take it upon myself to help these people, taking them into high level dungeons so that they can earn more money."
Alden nodded. Then he spoke.
"How about I take in all of them too. They'll even earn higher then they did raiding dungeons with you..." Alden asked, carefully munching on his food.
Surprise flashed on Sarah Foster's face.
"You would do that?"
Alden nodded. "For you? Of course!"
Before Sarah Foster could reply, they both froze.
"Do you feel that?" Sarah Foster asked him. He nodded.
They had both sensed the appearance of ferocious energy. It was also strangely explosive.
"What is it?" Alden asked, frowning.
"I think it's a flash gate." Sarah Foster said, standing up.
"What on earth is that?" Asked Alden, more confused than before.
Flashing him a questioning look, Sarah sighed.
"It's a gate that releases it's monster instantly. It cannot be cleared. Furthermore..." She shot him a grim look.
"This looks like an S-class gate.""Nope, I've actually come to turn up the heat." He flashed an apologetic grin."Lily said to give you this..."
