Chereads / Her Immortal King / Chapter 10 - Sold

Chapter 10 - Sold

Ian left the girl's room with a faint smile, not caring if he left the girl in a complete mess.

Going down the stairs, Ian spotted Max his face contorted with emotions.

" I will then send the payment to you" Ian's cold voice rang " Enough for you and your daughter to spend your great days. "

"Yes, of course, but I don't want my daughter to know that..." Max replied but couldn't complete his sentence which was hanging in mid-air.

"You sold her to me?" Ian asked " Of course not, it will be our little secret," Ian said, he couldn't believe this.

This is all his father's fault.

Flashback to yesterday afternoon after Ian left Sarah:

Ian walked to the underground car park to leave this wretched place only to be abruptly stopped by a figure.

Ian's face darkened and darkened a little bit more when he heard the familiar voice.

"Ian" Olivia's sweet voice could be heard " I didn't know you were here too" she lied blatantly " But since we are both here why don't we go out for dinner" She gave a smile that no man could say no to.

Only Olivia didn't know this man wasn't any sleaze bag that gets compelled by a mere smile.

"and-" Olivia continued.

" Shut Up" Ian coldly replied "Your mouth stinks" Ian continued " If you have nothing to do then I will tell Scott to give you more work," Ian said as he pushed Olivia.

Olivia gritted her teeth hard, she couldn't believe what he just said to her the first daughter of the Smith family.

"Your Mother came," Olivia shouted planning to see him freeze or some reaction but was disappointed when he continued walking as if she didn't say anything.

Ian opened the car seat and zoomed off leaving Olivia to simmer with rage.

Ian strode to his mansion not caring that his mother was there, well stepmother.

But as time goes on Ian could only trust her, she was family, but not his real mother, never his real mother.

Entering the lavish sitting room, a woman sat on a chair her mind focused on her phone, swaying her body sometimes

" I don't understand how you youth understand this thing-a-ma-jig," she said " I have been here for two hours Ian is that how you treat your mother" she complained "Two hours..."

Ian could only listen as she complained, Ian had learned his lesson that you can never out-argue his stepmother that was one reason that put his father in his early grave.

"What I came for is you need a wife" His mother, Anne, said " I found out that in your father's will to acquire his property, you need a wife" Anne continued on

Ian's eyes narrowed why did his father tell him that he needed a wife? Ian wouldn't have cared because he could just buy the company but that would be too much workload for his little brother.

So Ian decided he should find a wife but where to look, he searched his mind, all the women he knew were fake.

They would make all his interests theirs, it was very creepy still deep in thought he hadn't noticed his mother had left.

A face popped up in his mind, he grabbed his phone from his pocket and dialed a number "Give me a detailed report on Louisa White".

Ian drove to where his people said she stayed and everything else in between.

Knocking on the front door he waited some seconds before it was answered by a big burly man

"Who may ask are you," Max asked.

"It's not about me but what I can offer you" Ian replied. Max hesitated ab bit before was let in and the conversation continued in whispered voices .
