Got a contract offer from webnovel, debating on taking it because it's actually a good offer. Still not sure what that entails.

For the next two weeks, we didn't take any missions and trained almost non stop. It was mostly me teaching Selene to use a spear and Amanda in hand to hand. My training came from keeping a telepathic connection with Selene the whole time and trying to project fake thoughts to her, like going for her right leg when I'm actually going for her left arm, etc. It was slightly harder than I expected to think 'out loud' one thing, and then do something completely different while also paying attention to what's happening. I wouldn't have been surprised if I picked up a multitasking skill during those two weeks.
'My psychic energy is much easier to manipulate than before, I can even keep a steady connection with Selene anywhere on the ship without draining too much energy. I can't keep it up constantly, but a few hours is doable.' I thought to myself as we finished our morning training session.
"So, what do you say we go look for a mission today? I'm comfortable with you're improvement in case anything happens." I said to the two girls.
They agreed and we had some lunch before we made our way to the Mercenary guild. "While we're here, we can get you registered as a member of the crew." Selene suggested while walking.
"Sure, I already decided to stay so I don't mind registering." Amanda agreed. While we were training, we got to know her better and after the first week, she agreed to stay as a permanent member if we were willing to have her, to which we both agreed. I still hadn't shown her my psychic abilities or my status yet, but I wouldn't hide it from her either. If she saw it, she saw it, if she didn't, then she didn't. Once my psychic hit 20, it would potentially be much harder to hide the training if it were something like telekinesis than before.
"Sounds good. We can do that first." I finished.
We arrived at the mercenary guild, which was much more crowded than usual and made our way to the receptionist. "I need to register a new member of my crew, also what's going on? Why is it so packed today?" I asked as I handed her my ID.
"No problem, just need their mercenary license if they have one, if not they fill this out." She said handing over a data pad that had a blank form on the screen. "As for why it's so busy, the platinum ranked mercenary company, Sun Chasers, are passing through. They're on their way to the border conflict with the Novarius empire." She finished.
I grabbed the data pad and handed it to Amanda's, who started filling it out. Then I turned back to the receptionist, "Any jobs?"
"No, not really. All the higher ranked jobs are at the border conflict. If you are looking for something closer to your rank, that is your best bet."
I thought for a bit and then looked at the girls, "You all alright with going to the border conflict."
Selene shrugged and Amanda voiced her agreement without looking up from the pad. "We'll, guess we'll take any escort job heading to the border conflict." I told the receptionist, who quickly found us a basic job assisting the military escort supplies to the conflict. It was only a silver ranked mission since there's shouldn't be any fights, and even if there is, the military sent their own escort, who you only needed to assist.
When Amanda finished filling out the form, she walked over and handed it to the receptionist. The receptionist quickly typed the info into her terminal and a new license was handed to my newest teammate within a few minutes.

Name: Amanda Elric
Affiliation: Mercenary Guild
Rank: Gold (Obsidian)
Ship: Mjolnir

'Huh, why does it say gold next to her rank?' I thought when I saw it, but before I could ask, Selene beat me to it.
"Why does it say her gold next to her rank?"
"We can't outright give someone obsidian rank, at most we can give them gold, but since she's apart of your crew, we can add that she's apart of an obsidian ranked crew, even if she's only gold individually. This means she can't pick up jobs above gold rank on your behalf, but any missions she completes with your crew will still go on her record and count towards her rank advancement." The receptionist explained. It made sense though, even giving her gold is fairly generous, she skipped three full ranks.
We nodded and turned to leave once we were registered for the job. The escort wouldn't be leaving for another three days, so we used the next two to train more and then relaxed on the last day. Hopefully we could find something near the border conflict.
