I noticed there were quite a few people who don't know sci-fi terms and there are just some I want to clarify, I'll update this chapter as needed. (If you see a term I missed and it needs clarifying, leave a comment and I'll get to it.)

Hyperlane - A pathway between star systems that is safer and faster than traveling through dead space. Basically a highway but in space.

Holopad - Space phone

Data pad - a tablet like device

Bio scan - A scan that checks not only the health but the attributes and skills of an individual. This is used to check the status of people as well as their health conditions.
