"I know right... it's been two months and they're hosting another carnival tomorrow"

"The Lindre family has made a lot this season, I've been to their farm once... it's huuuge, with almost one hundred people working there"

"Yeah, when you see that kind of cooperation how will the kingdom not flourish"

"Hey you guys, I heard that the princess is a beauty also"

"Are you new here?. Of course she's a beauty. She is already comparable to princess Mary of Kemengrad kingdom"

"No way, she's said to be the most beautiful woman in the world and Riveer's princess is comparable to her!"

....

"Too bad she didn't marry prince Arthur."

"Prince Arthur?. From Camelot?"

"Yeah!"

"Why wouldn't she?. He's powerful, noble, royal and he's extremely handsome too"

"I heard that the princess is already engaged to someone"

"Do you know who it is?"

"No, but from what I heard, the man saved the kingdom from a disaster once"

"People still tell stories about it. They say he was very powerful and mighty and slayed hundreds of monsters on his own"

"Woaahh. Hundreds?"

"Where is he now?."

"No one knows"

The people that heard that was quite surprised. Only one question lingered in their head --- Where is the hero?

"Looks to be a big day today huh!" Sariel flew downwards and saw that people were lined up in two lines.

Turning around he estimated the people to be three thousand and above.

He flew towards the kingdom, wanting to go pass the guard wall from the sky.

As he got close he saw a barrier that was connected to the wall pulsating.

He stopped as he felt the pressure coming from the barrier. There were engravings on the barrier that pulsated with energy. The barrier went up to the sky and enclosed...like a dome.

"Must be powerful" he said as he deactivated his flying formation and fell downwards with free fall.

....

"Then let's bet, you won't be able to enter the gates today"

"You wish, I...."

*BOOM*

Everyone turned back as they suddenly heard a loud bang from the back, like something hit the floor.

Dust and sand rose from the ground, cloaking whatever fell. The people close to it ran in all angles and stayed at a safe distance.

"Hm..."

The dust dispersed as Sariel used his soul energy to clean himself. He began walking towards the gates.

Everywhere was quiet as the people looked at him with a dumbfounded expression.

The guards quickly forgot that a man just fell from the sky and held their weapons and pointed it towards him.

"Who are you?. State your business here!!" the guards urged as they stood with unwavering will to defend their kingdom.

"Me?. I'm the princess's fiance" Sariel said as he stopped walking to respect the king.

He could easily kill these guards and walk in, but this is his home so he has to respect the useless law that was set.

The guards looked at themselves as they all burst out laughing.

"HAHAHAHAHH..."

The guards laughed loudly as they have just heard the most hilarious thing they'll probably hear in their lives.

Sariel looked at them, annoyed by what they were doing.

"We're sorry but we don't let clowns into Riveer" the guards said mockingly. Although he was handsome, one cannot just come and claim to be the princess's fiance to enter the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Sariel was stunned by what he just heard.

Did they just call him a clown?.

No...they wouldn't. He guessed that probably, the people have forgotten about him. But how dare these soldiers bark before him.

He opened his eyes and looked at them, his eyes glowed it's golden light.

"What are you do...?....." the first man felt it. It was hard to breathe as his body started trembling as he looked at Sariel. It looked like he was staring at some God as he felt immense fear creeping into his mind.

The other guards followed as they dropped to the floor, their hands on their heads. While shouting.

"Ahrhhghhh"

Sariel ignored them and let them suffer as he looked at them all.

....

"What's going on there?"

"The guards seems to be put under some kind of illusion"

"It may not be illusion, the one at the front seems to be wide eyes as if he's in shock"

"Who do you think he is?"

"He suddenly fell from the sky and now he's doing something to the guards."

"He must be strong, he fell from the sky after all"

"He could be an angel, after all he's handsome"

"This boy...how will angels come down. The angels are all unified under certain rules.

...

Sariel sighed as his eyes reverted back to normal and he stared at the guards.

"Now, again. let me see the Lord of...cough cough,...Riveer" the guard found it hard to speak as the fear was rubbing off of him.

"Here!"

Sariel gave the guard a ring that had a small gem at the top of it.

"GASP..."

All the guards gasped in shock as they saw the ring that was in his hand.

That ring was something that only the royal family wears. They began to believe him as he held the ring towards them.

The guards pushed one of them towards him and the one turned back and looked at his friends that pushed him.

They looked at him pitifully as they looked at Sariel again.

"Sigh..." he walked to Sariel and took the ring from his hands.

"I'll go inform the Lord immediately" he said as he ran off and entered the gates, heading for the castle.

....

*Sigh*

'Things weren't like this before' he sighed as he put both of his hands in his pocket.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

And before you find it weird...he stiched the pocket by himself because he felt uncomfortable without a pocket.
