Chereads / Villain: Puppeteer Narrator / Chapter 2 - Auriel Weaver

Chapter 2 - Auriel Weaver

In a spacious but dark room that was adorned with expensive accessories and black curtains, which covered the windows without letting a single ray of light into the inside, leaving only darkness to remain.

There was a large comfortable-looking bed in this huge room and a black-haired young man was sleeping on it with a drool at the corner of his lips.

Knock! Knock!

"It is time for breakfast, Young Master Auriel."

A shaky, scared voice came from the door, making the sleeping young man, Auriel, wake up.

Auriel grumbled and rubbed his still-closed eyes with his hands and opened his eyes, but he couldn't even see in front of him because of the deep darkness.

"Where am I? Why is the divine realm dark, unlike its usual radiance?" Auriel wondered out with an unfamiliar hoarse tone.

He didn't understand what was going on, his half-asleep mind wasn't helping either. He tried to get up from his bed, but for some reason, his body didn't even move even an inch.

Slight panic rushed into him, waking up his blurry mind and which in return made him remember who he was and where he was right now.

He vividly remembered how he rebelled against his former God in mad rage after receiving unjust judgment only to be indirectly saved by the other Gods because they were just bored. With a cruel twist, his former God sentenced him to be transmigrated into the puppeteer pig-like noble to entertain the very Gods who saved his life.

He didn't know what to feel after what he lived through for all these years and now.

Should he be furious at the Gods and swear to kill them like the cliché protagonists he had narrated about for years? Or should he just entertain the dull deities to guarantee its future to become narrator again?

He didn't know what to do. All he was feeling was just an emptiness inside him after having no particular desire for himself.

He was the narrator of the Gods for 40 years and suddenly being jobless felt strange for him. He didn't have to think about the future and just focus on the present and the stories he was narrating. But this changed, now he was jobless.

But there was something particular in him, and that is to hate towards Silas, the protagonist, who was maybe the dumbest protagonist he narrated and the 'cause' of his being jobless.

The narrator, or the current Auriel Weaver, was a man who lost most of his common sense after spending years with the Gods and narrating countless stories of the other heroic people and villains.

That is why, he easily found his purpose in this life. He wasn't a heaven-defying cultivator who could kill the gods, but he at least knew that he could make them bored by living a good life and make them mad by tormenting Silas until he drops his principle of no killing.

"Young master Auriel… Can I come in to bring your breakfast?"

But firstly, he needed to give an answer to the scared woman behind the door, which Auriel assumed was a maid.

"Come in!"

Auriel's not-so-mature voice reached the maid, and she opened the door slowly, hesitantly.

The light that came from outside of the room illuminated the darkness, making it easy for Auriel to see.

There he saw the maid who came inside. The maid was a young beautiful woman, probably in her early twenties with long brown hair reaching to her back and brown eyes that were looking at Auriel with shaking pupils.

The maid came in front of Auriel with a shaking tray of food and put it down on the small table that was on the side of the bed. Then she turned her back and began to walk towards the door with hurried steps.

"Stop. Come here."

But she stopped after hearing the order of Auriel and trembled violently.

'Sigh…'

Auriel didn't know too much about the life of the original Auriel, all he knew was that the original was an evil, lustful bastard who used his power in whatever he wanted, and no one stopped him because of his high status of being 2nd son of Duke Weaver of the Macien Kingdom.

So, Auriel guessed that his reputation was very bad and this made this maid scared, or directly the original Auriel sexually harassed this woman. Auriel hoped for the former. He didn't care about his bad reputation because he knew that changing a bad reputation wasn't that hard.

But this wasn't the time for that.

Right now he needs to know the situation of the world and the year to make plans for the future.

Auriel got up from the bed with some difficulty and stood in front of the maid that began to shake more and more.

Auriel was tall even though he had a big belly enough to hinder his movements, he was a monster of 6'4 (193cm), and this made the poor maid more scared than before.

But without minding the maid's obviously afraid body language, Auriel her chin and lifted her face to his.

"I am going to ask you a couple of questions and you will answer them without telling anyone. Okay?"

The maid nodded her head frantically after hearing Auriel's strangely warm tone that sent shivers down her spine.

"Then, tell me what year it is now and how old I am. And tell me your name while you are speaking."

The maid's expression froze after hearing the strange questions, but she shook her head to recover herself.

"You are 17 years old, young master Auriel and we are in 3993." The maid said quickly, her voice was soft and pleasant to hear. Then she muttered slowly. "And I am Daisy…"

Auriel let Daisy's chin and requested:

"Okay, Daisy. Now get me paper and pen, but don't tell anyone about my questions."

After receiving the order in disguise request, Daisy got out of the room with quick steps that were on the verge of running.

Auriel who saw this sighed and let himself fall to the bed, making his big belly jiggle like jelly.

"I will meet with Silas after 3 years as he is living in the Dalinnor Kingdom, which is far away. In the meantime, I should lose weight and learn to use the powers of this body." Auriel whispered to himself and tried to reach the mysterious power inside him.

"What? Why don't I have the original's power? Did he not awaken his powers at this age?"
