Chereads / Villain: Puppeteer Narrator / Chapter 11 - Dear sister

Chapter 11 - Dear sister

Auriel was walking towards the training area to take a few soldiers for protection in case something might happen while he was trying to control the awakened.

But before he got out of the mansion, he encountered a white haired woman clad in a black uniform and cape.

This woman was Celeste Weaver, his adopted sister and someone who clearly hated him.

Hence, if possible, Auriel didn't want to get near this woman, because whenever Celeste looked at him, her red eyes shone briefly, giving Auriel a feeling that this woman was prying into his entire being.

That is why, he smiled slightly at her and passed her without saying anything.

Though he couldn't take another step and turned to Celeste.

"Hello, dear sister. Can I ask the reason for this?" Auriel asked and lifted his hand which was held by a beautiful hand with an iron grip.

"Don't 'dear sister' to me, it is disgusting." Celeste said with an obvious dislike in her melodic voice, then coldly asked and then let go of the wrist she was holding.

"Where are you going?"

"I am going to take someone to guard me while I am trying to do something, Celeste." Auriel said calmly while rubbing his wrist where the red marks from Celeste's grip were still visible.

He couldn't help but think about how it was hard to be the weakest in the family.

Well, Auriel wasn't too worried about this because he knew that he would quickly reach Celeste's level of power with his knowledge of the original Auriel.

Though he was still concerned about being Grandmaster or the next ranks as they required a huge amount of talent, wisdom, and hard work, while being Master just required a little bit of practice and understanding of his ability.

"Hoo… What are you going to do that you need someone to guard you?" Celeste asked while raising her brow and leaning against the wall.

Auriel didn't want to talk about his ability with Celeste but he knew that he couldn't avoid it in a direct question like this.

"I am going to try my ability and I thought that I should try it with someone on my side in case something bad happens."

Celeste's eyes shined briefly and a small, curious smile appeared on her beautiful face.

"Well then, aren't you lucky one? I will personally guard you as your 'dear sister', you won't mind it, right?"

Auriel was about to frown but with great willpower, he held it back and smiled slightly.

"Hahaha… Why would I mind if my 'dear sister' wants to help her brother, right? Thanks for your kindness." Auriel said kindly and tried to pat Celeste's head, but she sidestepped to avoid Auriel's hand and looked at him with disgust.

"Don't cross the line piggy you aren't even older than me. Lead the way."

The cold tone and rude words that came from a beautiful young woman like Celeste hit Auriel's mind harder than he expected, but he didn't show this on his face.

His mental age was older, and his mind was resistant to beauty because of his long time in the Divine realm and the Gods who were beautiful without any exception.

So, even though Celeste was a beautiful young woman. She was still young, hence her rude words towards him didn't pierce his self-esteem but lowered his morale.

Though he recovered himself quickly and led Celeste to the basement.

Then he showed the criminal whose limbs were shining eerily to Celeste with a wide smile on his face.

"Tadaa! How is it?"

After saying this, Auriel turned to Celeste and waited for her reaction.

He wanted to scare away Celeste with this sight because he didn't want to show his ability to her. However, contrary to his expectations, Celeste wore an intrigued expression.

Then she went to the criminal's side and prodded his limbs that were giving the malicious light.

"Hmm, So you already have found how to use your ability." She said to Auriel and pointed to the criminal. "Who is this by the way? I hope your brain developed enough to know that harming an innocent Awakened isn't a good thing."

Auriel pinched his side and recovered himself from the little shock he received.

Normally he wouldn't be shocked by a thing like this but seeing that Celeste, who was just a 18-year-old girl, was completely calm after seeing the miserable sight of the criminal, was a strange thing for him.

But this shock was short lived as he remembered the fact that this beautiful girl in front of him was Master. So he thought that it must be pretty normal for her to see this kind of sight.

Hence, Auriel didn't think more about this and stopped in front of the criminal, then turned to Celeste.

"I wouldn't do that, dear sis-"

Auriel quickly shut up after seeing the cold look of Celeste and decided to not push his luck and court death like an idiot protagonist.

Ahem!

"I wouldn't do that, Celeste. This man is a criminal on death row, so I thought of using him to try my ability as this man's life was already forfeited."

Celeste nodded with an understanding expression. Then asked. "So, what will you do with this man and what will do the things that are inside his limbs?"

Auriel took out an ethereal black string and showed it to Celeste.

"This is my ability and whatever I tried to do, it didn't work. This thing always broke whenever I tried to push to something with a little bit of force. So, I decided to use it on a human after contemplating some time and it worked finely. Though I don't know what it will do, there are 8 of this thread, 2 for each of his limbs, which connects to 8 of my fingers." Auriel explained his ability without telling that he could inject it into the thin strings too.

"I will release this guy and try to move him with these dark threads that are connected to my fingers." He added and lifted his hands, where ethereal, almost invisible black string that connected to the tips of his fingers except thumbs.

"So, will you help me, Celeste?"
