Gordon's fight lasted about 5 minutes and Auriel watched it with a great focus to not miss any of its seconds.
As a narrator, Auriel was used to watching fights between humans to humans or humans to fiends, but he didn't entirely focus on these fights as they were useless when he was in the Divine realm.
But now that he was a free human being, he knew that he needed to defend himself and learn how to properly fight.
Though it couldn't be said that he learned something significant from the fight between Gordon and Monstrosity.
Auriel wasn't a fighter at heart and didn't know how to differentiate the important techniques Gordon used and attacks timings. Hence all he got from this fight was a reminder that thinking about the experience was crucial in fights like every other thing in life.
Gradually the movements of the red-skinned Monstrosity slowed down with every wound it received from Gordon's spear attack, and eventually, it fell to the floor like a ragdoll, bleeding from several light wounds.
The red-skinned Monstrosity's eyes were closed and its chest was slowly moving up and down. It was sleeping like a baby, completely defenseless, easy to slaughter.
And its executioner, Gordon walked to its side with a passive expression and lifted his spear above the Monstrosity's head. Then with calm eyes, he brought the spear down in a precise movement. The tip of the spear broke the Monstrosity's thick skull with a sickening sound and pierced its brain, killing it instantly.
With a swift motion, Gordon withdrew his spear, splashing black blood and brain matter to the already bloodied floor, then he turned to Auriel and gave a proud smile after seeing the dead Shapeshifter.
"Why the heck are you proud again, you creepy old bastard? And why are you even showering in blood, get out of the blood's way." Auriel yelled out while making a hand gesture to Gordon for him to come.
Gordon obediently moved out of the blood fountain's way and stood before Auriel.
"Then why are you sitting in a blood puddle, Young Master Auriel?" Gordon raised a counter question and extended his gloved hand, which was smeared with blood to Auriel.
Auriel hesitated for a second to accept Gordon's help, only to realize his idiocy and grabbed the hand and pulled himself up.
"Welp, this amount of blood bath is enough for a lifetime," Auriel whispered to himself with a smile that opposed his own words.
"You are one of the heirs of the Weaver family, Young Master Auriel. I am sure that this much amount of blood will be nothing for you in the future." Gordon said with certainty and turned to Sebastian.
"Now that one of the burdens is down, can we just escape? I don't want to fight with 2 more Monstrosities in a day, my old bones are aching because of the excessive movement."
Auriel wasn't deceived by Gordon's words as he knew that as a Master, Gordon was pretty young and this much exercise was nothing to him. But Auriel too felt like this was enough for today as he was still shaking slightly because of the adrenaline and shock.
"Hmm, I can normally make my lining puppets float as you can see," Auriel pointed at the floating Elise and continued to talk.
"But I didn't try to indirectly fly myself to somewhere via with my puppets. So, I don't know what will happen, so I don't want to risk it here."
"Hahaha… There is no need for that. I can escape pretty easily from here with you in my arms, Young Master Auriel, if you don't mind being carried by an old man like me. However, you need to be careful to not crash your last puppet into a meat paste while I am running." Gordon said with a slightly joking tone, but it was obvious that he was serious about running away with Auriel in his arms.
And Auriel didn't care about it either as he was mentally over 60, so he didn't care about being carried by an old man about 50. Though he did still have some pride, hence he settled with a piggyback instead of a princess carry.
"Are you ready, Young Master Auriel?" Gordon asked with an energetic tone.
"Aren't you too cheerful for this, old bastard? You aren't homo or pedo, right? I am still 17, you know?" Auriel said with a clear disgust in his voice, which made Gordon cough with embarrassment and turn his head.
"I will take that as a yes, Young Master Auriel. Hold tight and be careful with the puppet."
Without giving any time for Auriel to speak again, Gordon's feet splashed the blood puddles in the now gore-filled corridor and ran towards a window.
"You aren't going to jump from there, right!?" Auriel yelled out but Gordon didn't give any answer and sped up.
In less than a second, Gordon's feet were on the window, giving a certain feeling of fear to Auriel. Then, without minding Auriel's signs of anxiety, Gordon jumped down from the 3rd floor
"Are you fucking serious, you fucking crazy bastaaaard!"
Auriel's scream reverberated in the corpse-filled streets of the city, attracting the attention of both humans and fiends.
Then seemingly long for Auriel, but a short amount of time later, Gordon landed on the ground, cracking the stones slightly and crushing the rib cage of one of the many corpses.
Auriel fell to the ground on his back and lost his concentration, which caused the floating Elise to fall on him.
"Ugh… I am not going to take a ride from you again. Never."
