"How cunning of you, Your Grace." Damian laughed after seeing Reene leave. He walked toward Roxana and folded his hands. "Those parents and baby may never know the truth because of you."
Roxana closed the tent so others couldn't hear their conversation. "I'm not a kind woman in the first place."
No human with a kind heart would ask a demon to kill her parents without any remorse. Besides, mere kindness would not be enough to put her in a high position.
"The King and the Grand Wizard will not remain silent if I expose Esmeralda's deeds openly." Roxana sighed harshly. "Rather than fighting over an uncertain matter, it would be better to cover it up."
"My Duchess is incredible." Damian smiled slyly. "You are fit to be friends with a demon."
Roxana laughed in return. "Friend with a demon? I even made love to a demon, so how could I still have the sanity of a normal human?"
