After listening to Roxana's harrowing past story, the golden eagle did not want to imagine himself returning to the Black Tower and getting all that torture.
"Have you already settled your mind?" Roxana asked solemnly, "If you are willing to stay here and become my spy, I'll ensure your safety and food. However, if you choose to go, then I won't be responsible if the Grand Wizard catches you again."
The golden eagle instantly became panicked. He flapped his wings quickly and landed on Roxana's shoulder. For some reason, his heart was immediately filled with fear whenever he heard the Grand Wizard's name.
"I'll become your spy!" the golden eagle shouted desperately, "Please! Please, don't let that bastard catch me!"
A sweet smile was etched on Roxana's face after hearing the eagle's lament. She was not reveling in his fear but was happy to have a spy who could fly freely throughout Vithia's sky.
