That night, the sky was utterly dark without any light. Neither the stars nor the moon were visible as black clouds covered the sky. From inside the carriage, Roxana was able to hear thunder crashing together, a sign that heavy rain would return to Oberon that night.
"Let me carry you," Damian said, "We might not be able to infiltrate quickly if I let you walk alone."
Damian's words sounded like an insult to Roxana's ears. However, she also knew that his words were entirely correct. There was no way Roxana could climb a five-meter wall by herself or walk silently in the dark.
In the end, Roxana had to throw away her pride and let Damian carry her. She said, "Bend over."
Damian looked at Roxana in surprise. "Why?"
"Didn't you want to carry me? Bend over so I can get on your back," Roxana retorted with a stern intonation.
