Enkidu stared at Ophis, who had previously become depressed after being removed from her reality. However, Enkidu was there to comfort her, and seeing that her tears had stopped, he assumed that Ophis had returned to a more rational frame of mind.
And it was true, provided that Ophis was acting more composedly.
Ophis then looked at Enkidu as she continued to speak.
