Nyx, in his eyes, was effectively a high-level raid boss, especially now that she had Orihime at her disposal. Lady Inari, the goddess of rice fields, foxes, harvest, and fertility, has bestowed upon her a divine authority.
And with that authority, she may do two things: the first is to invoke the power known as the "Blessing of Life." With that power, she could conjure up her own yokai servants at least twice a year, each of whom would be born a semi-divine being. She might also give sacrifices to summon one of Inari's ten divine yokai servants, known as the ten celestial commanders.
