I didn't know what had come over me, I was certain I hated Keith for what he did to me, and yet here I was defending him. But then, I wouldn't call what I was doing picking sides, purely because I wanted something else.
Davien took a large step, closing our distance, I maintained my stance, prepared for the absolute worse.
"You said you'd what? Kill yourself? Kill our baby? Kian, I dare you to stay that again." His tone lacked any humour, and his eyes gave off an unsettling feeling.
He was an Alpha alright, and a very intimidating one too.
Right before I could respond, Penelope butted into the conversation, "Alpha, you have to be careful not to upset our Luna during the pregnancy. And placing that aside, I think he's right. You should stay behind."
