Kian's P. O. V
The word 'mate' wasn't uttered with an ounce of longing or affection, rather it's tone matched the raised brows and creased wrinkles running across his forehead, he was sharp, I'll give him that.
"Your scent." He muttered under his breath, it took him seconds to figure out I was without my wolf, which meant I was basically a half mate or something of the sort.
I straightened my back, "Alpha Davien, may I have a word with you?" After he had gotten himself cleaned up. Did he have no regard for me whatsoever, that he'd show up in front of me like this.
"Alpha Davien?" He echoed, lighting a candle of confusion. Was that not what I called him? I cringed at the possiblity that he might make me call him 'Master' or something even more mortifying.
The woman I met hurriedly abandoned what she was doing and sprinted towards Davien, nearly knocking me over. I lost my balance for just a bit, but I was quick enough to regain my footing.
