Kian's P. O. V
The taxi abruptly pulled over at an unknown address, I looked out the window at the desolate streets, we were well away from the city and at it's outskirts.
"Well it's time to get down Kian, Davien is just beyond there." She announced, stepping out of the car, stretching her hand out to me. I dismissed her gesture and got out on my own, taking a sweep of the area.
Once I stepped out the taxi drove away from the direction we came, and from inside the abandoned buildings emerged about fifteen or more men, all shifters.
A memory flashed before my eyes, I could see shadowy figures around me, pinning me down, it made me sick. But when I placed my hand over my stomach, at the little one, I got the strength to stand my ground.
I needed to hold out long enough.
"Impressive, even after what happened to you, it's impressive you can still stand." Gwendolyn gloated, holding a long metal pipe.
