I had just gotten out of the meeting with the grand council, when Kian called and served me the news of Ceaser's death. Without thinking I blew off my next appointment and drove right back to the estate.
It sounded foolish, but after hearing about two deaths in a row, I wasn't looking for Kian's death to make it 'the charm'. On my way to see him, I was intercepted by Alice, who met me at the middle.
"Alpha! It's the Omegas! They've crossed the line!" She raised her voice, causing a scene outside right as I was about to get to the main estate.
"Alice, this is neither the time or the place for your petty…" Right before I could get my message across to her, she swiftly chimed.
"The lunch prepared for your mate…our Luna was tampered with!" She announced, gripping my attention.
"What?" Who the hell would fucking dare?
