Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Plans for the little one.

"What sort of elf are you I wonder".

"From a particular point of view it would be easy to call you a dark elf".

"But dark elves do not have gold spots on their skin, or are you a mutation of sorts".

Maivas smiled "no, you are correct in thinking me a dark elf. And also correct in thinking me an unnatural one".

He summoned a cup of glass in his hands along with a bottle containing a gold liquid inside, the bottle poured some of it's content into the cup until it was half full and then vanished while he took a sip.

Rai could feel a very pure and concentrated portion of mana in that bottle, much too concentrated even and he could tell that if it weren't for some sort of spell influencing it then that mana would have caused some heavy damage.

"It's a long story and one for another time, depending on if your curiosity lasts that long".

He shrugged a little "Alright, what is it you want to discuss with me" he brought the little one to lay atop his thigh and began dutifully petting her body.

Maivas heaved a small sigh before he began "I gathered a bit of information on you".

"Unsurprising and expected, so what else".

"Nothing really, it just made some bit of sense to me as to why you were given that marking now".

"You're the greatest anomaly it's ever registered, the greatest anomaly I've ever seen also".

"This is also not surprising information" Raizel commented in a bored tone which made Maivas smile again for a moment.

"Huuu....the other two...may I see them".

Raizel raised a brow "what other two".

"You were born with five innate universes of power and also a tribrid with two unknown races..." Maivas explained and Rai immediately picked up on what was left to be said in that long pause.

"Right now in this entire world, bar the gods themselves there are only three beings who have had the fortune of being able to access a fourth universe".

"The first being a guardian and not just any guardian but the strongest recognised one of all twelve".

"The second being one of the old monsters and also the probable strongest".

"The third being a little complicated but you'll find out later".

"But the point is, you were born with five right at the start".

"You cannot possibly fathom just how much of a world shattering event your entire existence is by itself due to this alone".

"Right now only a handful of people are aware of this, but eventually and very soon it would become a whole lot more".

"So before that happens I ask again, show it to me".

"No".

Maivas was really utterly shocked at this response, even more by how quickly it came because he was banking on Raizel's carefree nature and not expecting it to fail so woefully.

"Oh.." was the only coherent response he could give at this moment.

"I uhh...I see, if that's what you feel like then it's okay".

Rai raised a brow again as he sensed there seemed to have been some misunderstanding here "You misunderstand me".

"Huh?" Maivas looked up.

"I cannot show them to you because they have been involuntarily fused and I am still in the process of learning how to truly separate them".

"Whatever form I can show to you now for any of these two would be nothing but a much lesser creation compared to their standalone forms of which I have no idea how they look like".

Maivas's look brightened almost immediately when he heard this"ahh, so that's what you meant huh".

"Correct".

He leaned back in his chair and took a long sip of his liquor with a look of contemplation on his face "Hm".

"These.....lesser creation of yours, may I see them at least".

There was a moderately long pause from Raizel which seemed to down his hopes the longer it persisted, and like a hammer the judgement finally hit.

"No".

He sighed and rubbed his temple, normally be would never behave like this but this event was just much too exciting, it's like he was a child all over again just waiting upon a shooting star to show itself or something of the sorts, the memories about this period of his life was not something he found himself visiting often.

'I really did not expect him to be so difficult when it came to this area, hahhh'.

"May I know the reason this time at least" he asked.

"I'm a show off, but there are things I attribute an immeasurable level of pride towards and do not plan on using for such small matters".

"In the event that I do begin showing them so casually, it would only be caused by the fact that I have solved my problem and now able to freely let the effects of what I am show".

"I am tribrid, it is inevitable".

"Right, so I just have to watch until you're forced in a situation where you have to use the fused form or wait until you've achieved control over both sides".

A small smile graded his lips "casually declaring an intent to stalk me is quite bold of you really".

Maivas took another sip of his liquor and returned a smile back "Curiosity is not to underestimated, and luckily for this cat I will also not be killed by this so I have no worries".

"Hm, you'd be happy to know your wait may not be a long one then".

Maivas grew alert at that statement and leaned forward "what do you mean".

"You'll find out eventually, that is if they both indeed end up going against me".

"But if they don't, your wait will be extended. Now do you have any other matters you wish to discuss with me".

He sighed at his at the unsatisfactory answer he had received "I do, but for now I'll only give you an announcement".

Raizel raised a brow "carry on then".

Maivas paused for a bit "you're...a guardian now".

And now it was Raizel's turn to take a pause as he hears his first genuinely surprising information of today "what?" he unconscious said outloud in a low tone.

"The mark on your hand, it's only given to guardians and right now you've been crowned the thirteenth which breaks the order but here we are anyways" Maivas explained further.

"I told you it wasn't just an all-pass, it does so many things you would not believe".

"Hmm" he hummed nonchalantly "least you've admitted to it being an all-pass still".

Maivas opened his mouth for a retort but paused and said nothing as he could only sigh and shake his head while giving his temple a rub.

"The mark is also a beacon, right now all guardians are aware of your existence and can know where you are at any time".

"Interesting, now how do I block them from doing so" he asked.

"By being on their level, obviously".

"Wonderful" he said, his tone oozing with clear sarcasm of which Maivas obviously picked up on.

"Ah well, next time you call for me please do it in a less annoying way" advised Raizel as he got up and placed the little one back on his shoulders.

"Will keep that in mind"

Maivas snapped his fingers and summoned a portal before Raizel of which he was about to step into before Maivas called to his attention.

"The names, can I know that at least" he asked.

Raizel stared at him for quite a bit of time "Angelic and Devil path" he wasted no time and walked through the portal after that leaving Maivas to his own thoughts.

The doorway had closed moments after Rai's exit and Maivas had summoned the bottle once more to pour himself a new batch of liquor as he sank into his chair in pure shock, his mental fortitude had just been completely disintegrated by what Raizel had just said.

The Angelic and Devil paths, the paths said to be the absolute strongest of anything else and one even the strongest beings had come to terms with the fact none would ever see in their immortal lives.

Compared to the masses he and the other twleve guardians were made privy to some knowledge that not even the old monsters knew, it was the fact that neither of the gods were of these two paths.

Which also meant that the gods also weren't the strongest beings in all of existence which was the absolute most terrifying news one could ever receive for beings like them because with the reveal that the gods were also in an extremely suppressed state yet the twelve guardians combined do not match up to 1/1000th of a god's power was too incredible.

Not even he could comprehend the true powers of the guardians and yet the fact that they were such ants in comparison to the gods was already much too incredible, what were the gods like at their true peaks and how much incomprehensible are the beings born of those two absolute greatest paths.

It was all a mess and he really for the first time in hundreds of years felt like he needed sleep, the boy is born of these two paths combined so his peak.....it would definitely surpass the gods would it not?

But Maivas sat up and leaned forward because he had just thought of the possibility that Raizel was perhaps lying to scare him, but that kid does not seem like someone who would do so in the slightest. No, instead he felt like someone who would be getting in way too much unnecessary troubles because of how careless and honest he was.

"Still... though I have never seen what these two paths look like my best chance at deciphering and confirming if it's the truth is either by observing him or by asking of it directly from the mouth of the gods".

"There is now way they aren't aware of his existence so—

It was at this moment that something very important had occurred to him, an incredible piece of the puzzle he had been forgetting. The gods....they are the ones who introduced the Paths into our reality and still the only ones capable of introducing more to our reality if they so wished.

Maivas leaned back in his chair, this right here was a problem because how else would a child like that have possibly been created if not by their hands. Or is it possible the child is a being that came out of from one of the portals around the world leading to different realities, but how and when it so.

Whatever that comes in or goes out of the portal is known, creatures that came out from those portals have a special sort of aura that differentiates them from that everyone else who is an origin resident of this universe.

And it works in reverse too when creatures from this universe go into those portals, not everyone can see or feel them of course, the special aura around them. This was something only he, the old monsters, the guardians and the gods themselves possess.

But that wasn't the important part in all this, the boy did not possess any spiritual marking in the slightest that showed he was of a different reality so that means he was most surely an origin resident of this universe. But if he is indeed an origin resident that means his existence could only have come about by the grace of the gods which would also mean that they are able to access the Angelic and Devil paths also.

But that would also be impossible because the gods acknowledged that that they were not of these two paths so possessing it should not be possible right? But then again, what did he truly know about the gods and what went on behind the scenes, they had been gone for a century and all of sudden the moment after their appearance this boy popped out also.

Maivas acknowledged that he had not the slightest idea what path he could confidently follow as the right one as it concerns the current matters at hand, perhaps the boy himself could clear everything up himself by asking him but then again there exists the possibility it would be one of the few things he takes pride in and therefore would not divulge so easily.

"Do I pry it right from the depths of his mind" he asked to himself but threw the thought away as it would be too risky stepping into such dangerous unknown grounds, this was besides the fact of that thing which resided in the boy that not even he seemed to know about.

The future had never looked more uncertain than it had now, so many years spent calculating and providing solutions for millions of worst case scenarios that could happen to this reality and then here comes this. One way or another he needed to gain an audience with the gods because he was really lost on what to do, just then he had remembered he sent the boy back without taking care of the time-stop situation.

"Oh....deary me".

He waved his hand and a screen popped up showing him the situation inside the library, Lo and behold the boy was right there and frozen in time along with the rest. Having no idea whether to perhaps take this as a possible sign or not he snapped his fingers and released the spell cast on that realm.

Raizel continued his walk out the library none the wiser, the moment he stepped out he looked down and flexed his hand a little.

"Hmm, I feel so much lighter than before".

His power just had a huge exponential jump and it was weird, normally he grows stronger just by existing in the presence of spiritual power but it was a steady growth and nothing compared to just how fast his growth would be the moment he put focus in cultivating and learning.

But just now his power jumped, jumped far too higher than normal and he had no idea what caused it. He placed a hand on his chest, feeling the blood red monster core pulsing inside and increasing his strength by the second. He gave a mental shrug and pushed the matter to the back of his mind as it was not important to him ag the moment, his other goal was all he had in mind right now.

He looked up to take a look at his surroundings, the library really was just as he had assumed, an obelisk. The surrounding area were.....a picnic? At least that's what it had been turned to eitherway, people laying on the soft grass with eachother, some discussing different topics with eachother near a stream, some were either resting in the trees or reading in them, some levitating a fair distance away from it tall to mediate it seems and so on.

Raizel received a bit of new information in his mind and came to understand a bit that there were Islands for some major things and they were all floating. He also came to know the location of each and everyone plus one particular lone tower.

It was basically just an identification tower and also a betting place. It served some other minor functions too like buying some useful things for mutants but that was it's basic purpose and it was also a compulsory thing to visit the tower if one wanted a teacher and also if one wanted to participate in the Island of battle which was the biggest places of attraction in the entirety of this space.

The longer Raizel stayed the more he came to notice the eyes and whispers increasing by the second, he knew he was the most ethereal of beings they had ever layed their eyes on so fascination and talks about him is not something he would be escaping anytime ever.

He levitated himself off the ground and flew away from their sights ater making sure to attach a mana done around the little one lest she felt off his shoulders, those who caught this act of his we're quite a bit surprised.

Not because of the fact that he just used mana as it was normal for Mages who are all naturally born with the power of a mutant and can indeed be given access to this space although they rarely ever come into this place due to their insurmountable pride.

The surprising thing was the fact none of them knew he was one until he used mana, usually the presence of a Mage or cultivator were felt heavily by a mutant and when actively using mana they get suppressed even more yet somehow his presence was normal to them and even more incredible was the fact he also used mana and yet the suppression effect was still zero.

They knew damn well their senses were not deceiving them, that was most definitely mana they felt so what was this mindboggling situation they just experienced.

Meanwhile for Raizel who had been flying at a steady pace for quite a while so as to truly take in surroundings decided to take it up a notch and went about two times greater than sound itself and not causing a massive disturbance by breaking the barrier due to the help of his natural bio-aura which negates a large percentage of the universe's natural forces on all Mutants, this is of course without an outside influence manipulating these same forces far beyond what is considered natural.

The flight was not a long one after this as barely a second later he had arrived at the tower, having already had more than enough experiences in this world he knew quite well that the whole thing was just endless space. Seems all the tower creators in this world had a thing for this, hell his own house is able to function as this also if he just wills it so he had no real complaints here.

He flew down and placed his right hand onto the tower, a distortion formed around the particular area he had placed his hand onto and the next second Raizel was gone. He found himself in what seemed to be a waiting area along with thousands of other mutants, it luckily was not cramped in the slightest and there was more than enough space for everyone to do their own thing if they so wished.

About every 5-7 seconds a hundred people would be teleported out of the room, he sat himself comfortably in the air and turned his attention to the little one while awaiting his turn. After he was done here perhaps it would be time to take the little one on a hunt for some nutritious beasts or people if need be.

Based on her innate potential she should be far more powerful than she is now but due to her mother having to be so careful in keeping her existence secret the little one had been starved below the bare minimum which was quite the problem. Thankfully she was still incredibly young so more than enough time was available for her to catch up on what she missed and with his help too she would be far greater than what she already is supposed to be at this age.

'The spirit link affinity of mine could serve to be most useful in this, have to attend to it as much as possiblee'.

He smiled seeing her adorable attempts at getting his attention as he had stopped the petting for too long, he knew perhaps someday it would come back to bite him a little based on how terribly he was going to spoil her, but never would be regret it eitherway no matter he outcome.

And so Raizel along with 99 others were summoned.
