Chapter 2 - Lost and found: 13th District and Joane olivier

Joane entered the 13th district, a squalid place where all the criminals gathered to hide or trade illegal goods and stolen items.

After finding out where my ring was located, I used the "movereon" spell to teleport to the 13th district.

I followed the kid and saw him enter a wooden bar called the "D bar." The bar looked old but sturdy, with walls made of aged and grooved wood. The bar's roof was made of red brick tiles that looked fragile. The entrance door looked very big. Despite it being late at night, the bar was lively and loud. As I walked in, all eyes turned towards me and the place fell silent.

Approaching the bartender's table, I sat down and asked, "I'm looking for a kid with silver hair. Have you seen him?" The bartender wiped down a nearby table and responded, "I saw him come in here earlier. Can I help you with something?"

The patrons of the bar resumed their ruckus, ignoring my question. "I said, have you seen the kid?!" I spoke up. A drunken man stumbled towards me and threatened, "Who the hell are you talking loud like that? Do you want to die, you bastard?"

Hearing his words, I smiled and responded with a laugh, "Die? Me? It's actually all of you who will die." They started pulling out their weapons and pointing them at me with angry and agitated faces. The drunk man said, "Now you're gonna die."

"Duratus," I chanted, freezing and stopping their time. "Sacare," I chanted again, making their hands all fall off. "Reditus," I chanted for the third time, returning their time to normal. Their hands and blood fell to the ground.

In an instant, their fierce expressions turned into screams and cries. "Yes, who am I? I am Joane Olivier, a Raven Guardian."

"That's impossible. The guardians disappeared hundreds of years ago," an old and wrinkled man exclaimed.

"So where is the kid?" I asked.

"Gin did come here, but he just passed through. He left through the back door to meet the boss," the bartender answered, trembling in pain. "So the kid's name is Gin."
