Eve released a sigh. "It has already come to this." She shook her head, opting not to hide the disappointment evident on her face.
"Since Mother wanted her to participate in the courtship, then please allow her to do so," Eve suddenly said. "Although, I must warn you… The Baron is not someone who can be trusted." With that, she stood up. "I am tired… I need to rest." Eve decided to exit gracefully, aiming to convey deep sorrow regarding their decisions.
"Trinity," Max quickly summoned the maid. "Arrange for someone to guide them back to their chambers. They should leave this place as soon as possible."
"No," Verina cried even harder. "Please… Your Highness, I will do anything."
"Escort them out," Max firmly stated. "I will inform the Baron that she will participate in the Courtship."
Max led Eve out of the room, leaving the still sobbing Verina behind.
