"Why would he choose this moment to come here?" Henrik's face twisted into a frown, his displeasure evident.
"He didn't provide any explanation," Casimir replied.
"Inform him that Henrik wishes to see him," Eve demanded, her tone firm.
The two vampires exchanged glances, uncertain.
"You cannot—" Henrik began, but Eve interrupted.
"We must," she insisted. "We need to determine if this is a mere coincidence or if something more sinister is at play." Evelynn had abandoned her belief in chance; she was almost certain that Lucius was somehow involved in the events surrounding the Prince's disappearance. However, she lacked concrete evidence. That's why she needed to be present when Henrik confronted him.
"Tell him I will meet him," Henrik declared, gesturing for Casimir to leave them alone. As soon as the door closed behind Casimir, he confronted Eve. "What do you think you're doing?"
