For some reason, Eve could not determine if this person was a human, demon, vampire, or even a werewolf! In fact, when she closed her eyes, she felt no presence from this person at all.
Eve could not help but frown. "Shall we proceed and explore the market?" Eve asked as she turned her head away. The man was truly giving her an unsettling feeling.
"Of course," Maximilian replied, and they soon walked out of the door.
"Do you think those people will follow us?" Eve asked.
"I do not believe they care that much," Max replied, taking her hand. "This is not unusual, especially in this place."
Eve nodded. Once again, she thought of that man. "Why do you think everyone is wary of the owner of this place?"
"They are not wary," Max said. "It is more about respect."
"Respect?" Eve frowned as she lowered her head. When she was still Evelynn Rosetta, everyone seemed afraid of her. As for respect? She believed they respected her.
