Chapter 264 - (Part 9)

"Pinnacle of Wisdom, I suppose." Xavier replied.

"Pinnacle of Wisdom, is the most silent Pinnacle out of all. One can't even detect its presence because it's the mind of the user that's being boosted rather than other precisions." Ryan remembered.

"But what makes you think he was using Pinnacle of Wisdom out of all it could be something else as well?" Kenzo asked.

Cassiel smiled patting his back. "Those two aren't wrong. Even if Pinnacle of Wisdom is highly inconspicuous, it isn't flawless." his eyes turning blind grey, he assured.

"You…?" Kenzo blinked.

"Sorry, I wasn't able to use it beforehand." Cassiel apologized blinking, his eyes instantly returning to the normal shade of grey.

"Did you probably see it?" Adam asked surprised.

"Yeah, I didn't even know I had this kind of ability? I just discovered it recently after returning from the mountain." Cassiel replied.

"Wow~" Ezekiel gasped. "You mean you can see if a player has Pinnacle or a Realm now?!" Heber asked speechless.

"I think so… I informed Senior Nagi about it too yesterday but he said there was nothing to worry and I will be fine." Cassiel informed.

Seraph dabbed his shoulder assuring.

"Now all this finally makes sense, one returns deliveries with the power of looking into the future (Pinnacle of Perfection) while the other studies the surrounding and the baller to return the deliveries (Pinnacle of Wisdom)." Helios summed up, "Tch… such a pain in the neck." he added annoyed.

The eleven of them dismissing, Seraph headed to bowl. "Now that Pinnacle problems are solved. It's time we work out to dismiss them..." he thought picking the ball from the ground.

The 1st ball of the 4th over, Nour tapped his bat on the batting crease. His eyes turning golden he smirked, "Pinnacle of Perfection… Future's vision."

A Yorker aimed at mid-wicket, Nour read the ball. Finding an opening on the ground, he smashed his bat high towards the leg side for a huge six.

"Blasting!! Nour Mirza is on a roll! Sixes and Fours, he is snatching today's limelight!" commentators remarked.

"Nour! Nour! Nour!" crowd went into frenzy. Rauf convulsed his brow unsatisfied while Isa bit his lip bothered.

Xavier passing the ball to Ryan who in turn passed it to Seraph took their positions again. Clenching the ball tight Seraph gritted, "How frustrating…!"

Instantly flinching a devious smirk left his face, "Ah~ playtime's over." Pushing his hairs up, he turned around indifferent.

"Cleve Persona!" Ryan guessed.

"Zoinks! That's the evil Seraph!" Adam recognized from far.

Stepping on the popping crease Seraph whispered, "Eternal Bliss!" The ball different from his all previous deliveries was aimed outside the pitching line. At the moment of impact on the ground it changed its position towards the off side. Nour alerted played a leg glance taking a run. Adam securing the ball halted any further movements on the pitch.

"It was a seam delivery before." Nour glanced at Seraph from the striker's crease.

Seraph immediately looked up. Their gazes meeting, he grinned haughtily heading back.

"He seems like a completely different person from before…" Nour felt chills going down his spine, "Just like the way he was with Feyz yesterday. But… what's this unsettling feeling out of nowhere?"

Scoring no more than 5 runs in the over, Lahore's runs accumulated to 42 with 0 wicket loss. Pressure casing the Kings, the next over was passed to Gabriel.

"They are changing to spinners now." Haris studied.

"Of course, we desperately need wickets." Lou Wang said.

"If pacers are unable to take them out, spinners must swing into action." Ren added.

Elias smiling ruffled Aigou's hairs who furrowed his gaze nervous. "Don't worry…" he whispered assuringly.

Mir and Pedro sat grim while Nidou snored carelessly. Seles and Yusuf exhaled over his spectacle at a loss of words.

Nonetheless, In Lahore's pavilion, the middleschoolers cheered overjoyed. Kubrah observing Karachi's performance snickered, "Well~ well~ well~ for kings who were quite haughty in the previous innings, their pacers have already lost the match and are now inviting spinners in? Haha! How pathetic!"

"I am quite surprised as well. Though, Seraph's and Helios's balling is exceptional our Beruni and Nour didn't expose a single flaw before them." Asim agreed.

"Moreover, the fact that both your young ones are Pinnacle users. Given my change perception, you are quite a fortress of threat." Akbar glanced at Ashura who returned a sharp glare.

"If we don't keep our guards up even we'll end up just like them." Zhangli stared at the screen forewarned.

"Haha! You bet!" Kubrah chortled.

Haroon, after taking a deep breath rose heading towards Feyz. "What is it?" he asked patting his shoulder, soon settling beside him.

"Nothing…" Feyz exhaled.

Dabbing his back Haroon assured, "Don't be anxious. Everything is going right on track."

Feyz nodded, "I am hopeful for that…"

Delivering the 1st ball of the 5th over Gabriel spun his wrist remembering...

"Nour's weakness will be spins because Pinnacle of Perfection as a pace returner cannot show the future vision of spin balls and as a spin returner cannot show of pace balls. That's why we cannot miss this chance." Helios said.

Gabriel nodded.

The ball landing before Nour as an off break, he played a safe cover shot taking a run. Singles consecutively taken with two dot balls. Gabriel delivered the last ball of the over.

"For pacers, their tolerance towards spinners is quite remarking." Romeo said, "Your little ones… are in quite trouble." he glanced at Rauf.

Evan tapping his finger remained silent.

"As troublesome as it seems. They are still our juniors. I am rooting for them till the very end!" Haruf stated proud.

"What a confidence lifter." Haitam praised.

Gabriel delivering the last ball glared, "Dark Blizzard Form 2!" A Googly aimed with double the wrist spin landed towards the center of Beruni's stumps. Reading the spin of the ball he stopped it with a dot return, "Pinnacle of Wisdom: Thousand Openings."

"Whoa…!" the fielders gasped. Chances of Lbw high yet not achievable Cassiel took his hands over his neck with the over ending. Gabriel clicking his tongue passed the ball to the umpire.

Going over to Beruni, Nour patted his back, "Are you alright?"

Sweat dripping his forehead, Beruni shook his head, "I-am… fine…" Anxiously gulping, he changed places.

"First Seraph Awan and now him… why do I feel anxious playing against those two?" Beruni shook his head confused.

"Good job." Helios patted Gabriel's back.

"That whitehead can read every delivery be it spin or pace. Annoying!" Gabriel grated glaring at Beruni.

Helios exhaled assuring, "Don't worry about it. We'll find a way."

The last over of the powerplay with 48 runs scored at a loss of 0 wickets, Ryan took the balling over. "Finally…" he grinned excited. Kenzo positioning the fielders again, Ryan tossed the ball up and down.

"Onto a fifty! Lahore steps in the final over of 2nd innings powerplay! A sweet counterattack without a loss of a single wicket! Karachi kings now under immense pressure have changed their tactics onto inviting spinners to the field! Now question remains, how will Lahore face them? Will they continue to suppress their spinners are take this game or will Karachi find an Achilles Heel in Lahore's batting line?" Maaz commented.

"Exactly, in the first innings Karachi marked its pressure and dominance making us feel as if today's match only belonged to them however, who'd knew Lahore would threaten them this way!" Jones added.

Orion hearing them twitched his brow. "Just what the hell is wrong with those brats?!" he gritted.

Alan glanced at him unamused, "What's with this reaction now? Weren't you mocking them a moment ago?"

Orion furrowed his gaze, "I don't care about those little rascals! What infuriates me right now are these damn commentators! How dare they say that, I feel like going in there and breaking their arms and legs! Or head straight in the ground and send all those idiots back to the pavilion!" he scrunched his phone tight.

"My~ my~ only you can mock them while the rest can't utter a single word? What kind of hypocrisy are you discovering now, my dear?" Elias questioned entertained.

"Shut it!" Orion retorted while Senri, Kazuna and Aigou chuckled.

"This kind of care isn't going to get you anywhere Orion. You need to be a little gentle with your words." Rovan advised.

Orion's expression disgusted upon his words, Alan blurted a laugh, "Pfft!" instantly covering his mouth he looked away.

Nagi wordless, ignored them looking at the ground.

Delivering the 3rd ball of the over Ryan uttered, "Mild mirror." A right sided off cutter aimed straight towards the wicket's top center. The ball made its way towards Beruni. Instantly with a tap on the ground it changed its position towards the left completely.

"Huh?!" Beruni uttered pulling the bat up and stopping it. The ball hitting on the bat swinged inside over the wicket's center bail with a few inches gap.

"OH!!" Ryan, Adam and Heber gasped.

For a moment the entire stadium went silent as Alan gasped wide eyed.

Cassiel grapping the ball perked up, "OUT! OUT…!" however, his chant slowly dying down Ryan sunk his head in between his legs, "Darn!" he punched the ground.

The umpire shaking his head confirmed a huge lucky save!

"Ah…" Seraph rubbed his hands on his face while Kenzo kept his hand on his mouth wordless.

All highschoolers, Feng, Christopher, Azazel and Haris too sat blank.
