"Lahore! Lahore! Lahore!" Chants echoed the air.
Kenzo taking a run looked forward to the next delivery. Jules delivering the fourth ball of the over whispered, "Blind spot form two!" A
"Aimed right into my stumps?" he raised his bat stopping with a dot return. Jules grasping the ball headed back.
"Is it just my thinking or is Jules aiming for blind spots?" Cassiel asked.
"He is." Gabriel replied, "He went for Xavier's off side where he left the wicket open and since Kenzo is a power hitter, he is aiming for his stumps to make him miss the delivery."
"For someone to read blind spots so clearly…" Poseidon whispered.
"He is a top class baller for aiming that." Haitam told. Poseidon squinting his gaze pondered, "Is that so…?"
The 5th ball of the over Kenzo whispered, "Change into a bouncer."
The ball rising high than the tossed delivery which was a bouncer went over Kenzo's head. Taking advantage of the chance he turned around grinning widly at the wicket keeper, soon smacking his bat behind high and with full force towards the long spot. Munkar standing on the boundary edge stared at the huge six which went into the audiences stand.
Wild roots and commentary busting, the middleschoolers rose in delight. "Oh Yeah!!" Mikael screamed ruffling Ryan's hair.
"Way to go Captain!!" Azazel cheered beside Heber who whistled.
"What a shot! 94 meters! The longest shot of the tournament! Kenzo ShahJahan has shaken the very roots of Lahore!" commentary bustled from Orion's phone. (Which was forcefully retrieved…)
"Haha! How was that?" Kenzo questioned Xavier proud.
"Great!" Xavier replied.
"He is a lot more confident now after returning from the mountain." Isa judged.
"Hm, as if he has opened his wings." Zach agreed.
"You know, we hadn't played a match like this since long. We were yearning to play and Kenzo was on top feeling this way. I am glad he is opening up." Feng said.
"Tch, what in the world are they doing?" Kubrah uttered irritated, "Is this the way they trained?"
Haroon, eyeing him from the corner of his eye retorted, "Did you took out some time and watch over them. The way they were practicing, their weaknesses and faults, did you try to advise or correct them."
"We did…" Asim replied however another one of the instructors interrupted, "If advising them was like. 'You can't be like him' 'you can't do this and you can't do that' 'you are losers' and god knows what more. Then keep these suggestions to yourself." he uttered disappointed.
Ashura glanced at him grave.
"Since you didn't do a single correct thing. Keep these complaints to yourself and remember…" Haroon frowned. "You all are just highschoolers stronger and slightly bit more experienced than them. You are not at all invincible." he warned.
Suleiman and Akbar looking at each other exhaled while Kubrah gritted vexed. Ashura not caring to retort stared at the pitch silent.
155 runs at the end of 18th over, the 1st innings of the match was finally at its concluding hour. The first delivery of the 19th over, Feyz took the balling order.
"I guess this is his last over." Xavier pondered tapping on his bat on the pitch.
Delivering the 1st ball Feyz uttered, "Stygian Flare!" The ball shaping itself like a fire ball travelled towards the pitch with high speed.
"Oh~? I was looking forward to it. I am glad I got to face it." Xavier said recalling. His blue gaze piercing through he thought, "I see. It all depends on the swing of the ball. For Heber he deliberately added spin to break his 'joker cage' but this won't work for me." Lifting his bat for a cover drive he hit it towards the boundary taking a run, "After all I am a spin returning specialist! And, even if he doesn't add spin I can still easily read the deviations of swings."
Taking three runs, Kenzo stood on the batting crease waiting for the next delivery. "Now…" he exhaled, standing straight. His hairs flaring golden, "Pinnacle of Monarchy; Royalty Phase 1; Endeavor of Achievement!"
3 golden arrows showing around the stadium, one from the deep extra cover, another from sweeper and the last one from square leg, Kenzo wiped his sweat.
"What the hell…?" Beruni uttered baffled, "Don't tell me…!"
"Yeah, I am a Pinnacle yielder. What an honor for you to face this King!" Kenzo introduced haughtily.
Feyz clicking his tongue headed back. Placing fielders on spots where arrows ended Kenzo smirked unfazed, "Hmph! As if catching would work." Delivering the second ball Feyz uttered, "Black lightning!" Kenzo stepping forward whispered, "I need an outswinger this time."
The ball abruptly changing into an outswinger, Kenzo aimed, a six towards the sweeper spot. Unable to be caught within the fielding area and resilient to every ability the shot ended in the audiences stand. A four on square leg and another six on three consecutive balls within the over. Their runs immediately accelerated to 175.
Scoring a fifty, straight on the first match Kenzo raised his bat up and next his hands praying. The crowd cheered wildly. The highschoolers proudly clapped. "He is definetly a king." Noah praised, beside Aaron who nodded. Seles and Pedro too smiled. Alan grinned proud.
"This little king roars from the start. What demeanor he has. Certainly, he must be one of your greatest assets." Rovan assumed.
Senri glancing at him smirked, "Who knows~ maybe you are saying this because you have only seen a single king
Lahore Qalandars pavilion soundless, the highschoolers glared disturbed. "Tch, to think they'd try to be on par with Islamabad's middleschoolers makes my blood boil!" Kubrah uttered irritated.
"On par with them?" Haroon glanced behind, "You are wrong. They aren't trying to be on par with anyone. They're merely displaying their intense potency. After all, to be on the top is to act like as if you are made for the top. This kind of eminence came in them from their seniors. A powerful vivacity of confidence." "Don't tell me you forgot that?" he continued to ask.
"Rauf's determination, Isa's leadership, Kazuna's gravity, Elias's observance. It's just a glimpse of it. But each and every single one of their middleschooler displays it very clearly." continued the other instructor.
Kubrah frowned clenching his fists tight as Ashura glanced. His red eyes showing no clemency for the progressing game.
The over concluding with the last one standing ahead. Kenzo changing sides whispered, "I leave the rest to you pant… pant…" his eyes feeling slightly itchy, he wondered confused, "What's going on...?"
Xavier smiling teased, "Don't want me to take a run, your highness?"
"You little…" Kenzo uttered as Xavier chuckled patting his shoulder, "Okay, okay, I won't trouble you any further. You can take a break now. Also, congratulations for you first 50 in the PSL Debut match."
Kenzo revealed a light beam.
Jules observing Xavier walked over, "You…"
Xavier looking up tilted his head ever so lightly, "Me?"
"Yeah, you… how can you predict my blind spot deliveries? No one can easily predict them and I could've easily sent you back to the pavilion however, something feels off about you. What are you hiding?" Jules inquired.
Xavier blinking for a moment, let out his usual carefree beam, "Quite curious aren't you? Why don't you find out in this over? I am gladly standing on this spot."
Jules restlessly turned around, grasping the ball from Rio.
"Come on! Come on!!" Feyz clapped his hand gesturing his teammates to stand far and wide.
Delivering the 1st ball of the last over. Jules stepped on the popping crease whispering, "Blind spot form 3!" A Yorker aimed at full toss, Xavier observed the ball stopping it with a dot return.
"Xavi, Xavi's playing it safe." Adam noticed.
"Right, I bet he is hiding his Realm. He is quite clever I tell you." Azazel said.
Hearing him Senri narrowed his gaze, "Hiding? What do you mean by hiding?"
Nagi resting his leg a top of another continued, "We have been noticing it for a long while, you boys have been up to something since the very beginning. Care to enlighten us what's going on?"
Gabriel smirked, "Finally realized it? Took you long enough."
The middleschoolers standing up got ready for the second innings.
"Augh~ my hand is itching to ball now." Ryan wore his wrist band.
Isa and Rauf looked at them serious. Alan too squinted his gaze.
"Adam, Heber, Ezekiel all got out but don't you think you were way too calm on the contrary as if you have had that in mind. We know we told you that it's predictable to get out however we did look forward to both openers' fifty's too." Aigou said.
Seraph glanced, "Fifty's? Who were the ones who said to not over estimate your opponent? Moreover, Kenzo already did that what else do you want?"
"That's not our question and don't try to dodge us as well. What we meant is that are you hiding your abilities on purpose and not giving your all?" Ren asked disturbed.
The eleven middleschoolers turning around grinned as if they had been waiting for them to point out their self-constructed scheme.
