Kenzo glancing at his back asked, "And, what if I am not there?"
For a moment Heber's expression became dull he instantly turned around. "Then, there's no meaning left at all…" he whispered standing before Kenzo with a light smile as Azazel eyed them puzzled.
"I want to be the best batsman alongside you, I want to score the highest partnership with you. And, see my name being called around the world. But, if you aren't there… then there no meaning in doing so or is there Captain? After all, I want to look cool before you." he asked depressed.
Alan looking at the three of them wondered, "So he really won't come hun. If he won't come then… from where will I find my team's back bone? It's king…"
Suddenly Kenzo smirked stepping down from the helicopter. "Heber is you brain made up of straws or are you really dumb?" he teased.
Heber along with Azazel blinked their eyes.
"Captain…?" they asked blank.
"If I wouldn't have given my answer, those ten wouldn't have even stepped closer to that multi-haired brat. Are you either fools or something?" Kenzo cleared the misunderstanding as the others smiled.
"Hehe, they are way too simple." noted Poseidon.
Seraph nodded. "Yup, to think Kenzo would play like this with them is funny in its own way." remarked Cassiel. "Hehe… that fake king tricked them, haha!" Adam chuckled while Ryan smiled.
Walking towards Alan Kenzo sneered, "Above all, I think I have a history or two to settle against him or so. I don't think I'll be taking my leave this early. Right? Petite multi-haired Senior?"
Senior and insult all together.
Alan rolling his eyes speechless, "First, I don't think I know you that well so forget history, you wannabe monkey king. And second, despite being a little short I am your senior here so mind your pretty language." "To think I called him my team's backbone…" he reflected instead.
Helios chuckled as Xavier laughed alongside Adam and Ryan who grabbed their stomachs in disbelief.
Kenzo eyeing Alan with veins popping on his forehead sneered cursing, "This rascal!!"
Nidou grabbing their sight stood up from the wooden pallet. "So you all finally made your choice? Don't think you'll regret it?" he asked.
The boys including Seraph, Gabriel, Xavier, Helios, Kenzo and Alan looked back confident. "If we would regret it… we'd make sure you and your base regrets it along with us!" Gabriel taunted assertively.
"Do you know what your greatest mistake was…? It was that you called 'Us' to your base. And calling us here was no joke. For everything you did you will definitely pay." he continued to threaten.
Heber nodded while Ryan smirked. Cassiel pushing his glasses up summed, "In the end, this whole kidnapping scene was a part of the base's plan including yours which is a part of our training. Am I correct?"
"Alan on the contrary was dragged in by you since you needed him to gather us together into doing so. Henceforth, our real training begins at this point and will end the moment we satisfy your qualifications and expectations?" Cassiel asked.
Nidou scratching his head smirked, "Yeah… that's for when you do that. As for the rest it depends on you. Don't mistake this place as your home. It is still wilderness. Ready to gobble you down at any moment."
Cassiel sighed wondering, "In the end Alan wasn't connected to it in either way just like it made sense before. It's a good thing we didn't blame him for this altogether…"
"However, let me clear one thing…" Kenzo spoke up.
Alan narrowed his gaze serious alongside Nidou who listened.
"We aren't going to become anyone's team. Not even Alan's. Nor, the base's or anyone else's. Am I clear?" Kenzo stated.
The thirteen agreed.
"That's right, we aren't anyone's pawns to follow commands and orders. And, if forced we won't even heed them." Seraph added.
"Since we are the team which will only lead onwards to claim the world cup! All ready to devour the world!" Helios said seriously.
Nidou hearing them grinned, "Do whatever you want. But the way you are right now… even the world rookies would laugh at you so forget about the teams. You rascals… the world is a very big word! From now on you are going to face harsh circumstances then you ever thought before. So get ready! You can't back down now. And, that includes you too, brat!" he ended at Alan who smirked unaffected while the boys eyed each other at ease.
"Back down now? Even losers would be better after keeping their words." Xavier replied.
"Old man, stop pointing me out specifically every single time. Who did you take me for?" Alan asked slightly cross.
"I didn't take you for anything but the world surely will take you… as a hassle, as a pain, as a rival and as a weak lad. And, crush you so badly that you won't even get up. Don't tell me you forgot what happened to you before?" Nidou asked him seriously who in turn remained silent.
Clutching his fists he remembered his past and struggles.
The thirteen eyeing him and then Nidou looked at each other confused. "What happened back then…?" Adam asked in Azazel's ear.
"Who knows?" Azazel whispered.
Taking a deep breath Alan turned around to look at the boys who stared back at him seriously. "He isn't wrong on that and I can't even debate back." he concurred. "Stepping onwards from this line… you have to take complete responsibility of yourself. Since, the world you want to face is crueler than bloodthirsty beasts resting on this mountain. And if you don't believe it… then, see it." Alan ended pulling his sleeve up from his left arm towards his shoulder onto revealing a large, cruel scar covering his shoulder and elbow like a claw pierced in.
Adam, Ryan, Ezekiel stood stunned alongside Poseidon, Helios, Feng, Heber and Gabriel.
"What is…?" Seraph as speechless as Alan once again covered his sleeve back. Kenzo narrowed his gaze stern beside Cassiel and Xavier.
"I humbly received this when I confronted a professional player as a freshmen in middle school. All just to take revenge on him for hurting Rauf. Revenge hun… On the contrary it was me who got crushed. Who knew what he would've done if Rauf hadn't intertwined in between. And for that, he got even more injuries because of me. Truth to be told, you would've seen my grave instead of my body here thanks to that man. But now… if he would meet Rauf again…" Alan's lips curving into a mischievous grin, he took his thumb to his throat acting to slit it.
"He would go to hell! That's how strong those highschoolers and Rauf have become. Those who you are dire stuck on beating, they are now world class professionals. Clearing that, do care to still move forward?" he asked seriously.
Xavier on the contrary chuckled, "Were you trying to scare us?" Alan blinking his eyes as Poseidon stepped forward, "If so then we still aren't backing down."
"Stop scaring us with these stories. We aren't kids." Kenzo clicked his tongue.
Alan smiled, "Haiz, good to hear that." "They are surely strong… no wonder they'll create marvels." he thought relieved.
Tracing the thirteen of them on by one he declared, "Alright, I accept your call as an independent team which doesn't obeys rules and regulations. And, I won't order you around neither restrain you. You are solely my comrade in arms. Is that fine?"
Kenzo and Helios hearing him smirked as Feng nodded, "Right!"
"However…" Alan continued grave.
