Chapter 142 - (Part 5)

Alan tying his gear bag tightly on his back tried to climb up. Stepping on a rock and gripping the other one he scaled up. The rock harsh and pointed jarred his hands while he hissed lightly. "It's like climbing over needles." he thought as the little rabbit hopped over his hairs. Climbing a little up he looked down calling, "Come on, Heber! Adam! It would be a piece of cake for you both to climb up!"

Adam hearing his voice alongside Heber jumped up nodding. Heber grasping a look at Kenzo climbed up using his acrobatic play while Adam hopped up one step after another reaching Alan.

"Be careful when you grab a stone or a rock nearby, they are weathering. Also, look out for the rocks before stepping on one as well." Alan warned the two who agreed.

Helios assuring Poseidon climbed up next. Ryan too went after along with Cassiel. Whereas, the others stood down looking out for the rest.

"Ouch… they are really spiky…Pant…" Heber complained panting.

Alan and Adam eyed the top which they had almost reached. "It's also turning foggy. It's hard to see too…" Adam complained grabbing the stone stepping upwards.

"Yes… I know… just a little bit more and were going to reach it, I can already see the top." Alan encouraged looking upwards.

Suddenly Adam's foot slipped, "Argh!!" he shrieked hanging low with only a single hand grasping the rock. Seraph tracing his sight called out frightened, "Adam!" Kenzo too stood nervous.

"Wah!! I'll fall!!" Adam shrieked dangling right and left. Ryan and Cassiel along with Gabriel who were climbing up too halted alarmed.

"He'll fall!" Poseidon called worried as Seraph stood below the point to catch him in case he falls. Gabriel baffled too stood aiding Seraph. "What to do now, Alan?" Heber asked puzzled.

"Wah!! I'll really fall! It's so high! I am scared!! Sera! Sera!" Adam cried losing strength.

Alan frightened himself looked around to find a way. "What do I do?!" he thought muddled.

Seraph hearing Adam scream called, "Calm down Adam! Don't shout!" Xavier patting his shoulder called out next, "Adam! Take a deep breath and no matter what happens don't let go at any costs!"

"Wah!! I can't! I am scared! I can't hold onto it much longer!" Adam screamed.

Alan gritting his teeth turned his direction heading towards Adam. Turning around he advised, "Heber! You go up! I'll help him. Just go up and secure yourself now!"

Heber stuck in between to trust him or not gulped, "A-re you- sure? A-re you sure, you ca-n help him?"

"Heber… just trust me… please, I beg of you to climb up. I can help him. But, if you too get in trouble. I'm afraid, I won't be able to do anything…. Please just go…" Alan begged, his lips trembling.

Suddenly Kenzo ordered, "Heber!! Climb up now!!" Hearing his command, Heber without a losing a second sprinted upwards. Kenzo too climbing up had covered half of the rock, leading to Adam.

Alan taking a deep breath made his way towards Adam who cried. "Calm down Adam and close your eyes. Don't look down. Look at me and give me your hand." he assured. Grabbing Adam's other hand which clutched the rock, Adam closed his eyes giving his other hand to Alan, which was hard to reach.

"It's really foggy… I can't even see clearly. Oh god… please…" Alan prayed instantly catching Adam's other hand. Keeping it on a solid rock Alan turned him around. Adam traumatized took deep breaths while Alan patted his back consoling, "Its fine now. Don't worry. Everything's alright now." "His hand…" he thought worried staring at his right hand from which he continued to grab the stone bleeding.

Seraph sighing a breath of relief sat down in a slump sweat dripping his forehead his hands trembled.

"It's alright now… calm down." Gabriel consoled him as Poseidon nodded.

"That boy… he will give me a heart attack one day…!" Seraph gasped bewildered grabbing his forehead.

"I ca-n't climb up… my hands hurt… I want to go to Seraph…" Adam sniffed.

Suddenly Heber called out, "I have reached the top everyone!" Hearing his call, the others sighed relieved, feeling accomplished.

Alan immediately thought calling out, "Heber! Can you spot us from above or something their?" Heber looking around the flat top and the others below replied, "I can't see anything on the top and neither do I see anything below, however, I can slightly grasp your figures." Alan continued to ask, "Then, can you stand on the same point from where Adam is climbing up?"

Heber standing up right on the same path responded, "Yeah, I am standing there. Now what?" "Grab Adam when he jumps up, okay Heber?" Alan asked.

Heber hearing him gasped stunned, "What?!"

"What?!" Adam too uttered baffled.

Alan eyeing him smiled, "If climbed up more, you'll injure your hands pretty badly. So you'll jump." "No way!! And, what if I fall, then what?!" Adam asked back afraid. Alan hearing him smirked confidently, "Little one, who did you think I am? Do you think I'll let you fall after everything we've gone through together?" Adam blinked his eyes.

Tracing Heber who was ready Alan spoke, "I'll give you a strong push, while you'll jump with full force upwards. Since, there is not much difference in between the top and us. Heber will catch you without fail."

Adam who was scared gulped, "But…"

"No buts. Rather than believing in me. Believe in yourself first, Mr. wild card. Don't tell me someone who grew up in a forest can't even jump?" Alan interrupted.

Adam hearing his words gasped wide eyed. A flash of past going past his sight, he remembered an old woman sitting beside him, "Heh~? Who said you can't do it? What I meant to say is that rather than that you are better doing this. Little Adam, you can do anything nope everything… so just believe this old lady and trust yourself a little bit more… From that everything you can do… find the thing you want to do the most and pursue that path without fail." she advised ruffling his hairs.

A light smile escaping his lips he nodded, "You're right… it seems like I've forgotten my past all over thanks to Seraph and Cassiel and all the other's care. It's time… I reminiscence it back!" Adam claimed confidently, "To think you even know that. I wonder if you are really a fortune teller or something?"

Alan remained silent for a while whispering, "You boys are this country's future… and my team. How do you expect me not to know about you?"

Adam beamed back, "Sure thing hun… well, I still don't really know what you like about us and neither do I know what made you feel like that as well however, I do know one thing. Even if I hated you back then and truth to be told you annoyed me too. But, now… I really, really like you! And I am glad I met you too. Thank you for saving me."

Alan stood wide eyed quickly whispering, "Thank you… for believing me. Adam, I really, really like you too."

Adam nodding beamed. A smile as vibrant as the sun with cheerful red blushes covering his cheeks Alan smiled lovingly. "Such a child…" he thought.

The two of them nodding at each other, Alan treaded down a little low from where Adam stood. "Are you ready Adam?" he asked. Adam taking his position nodded. And, as soon as he did Alan pushed him up through his back with all his might. Adam in the meantime, taking the opportunity stepped over the rocky surface, flipping upside down and jumping up.

"Heber, Adam's headed up catch him!" Alan called out.

Heber looking down traced Adam as he instantly caught his arm the moment he reached up.

"Gotchya!!" Heber gleamed, pulling Adam up whose heart beat wildly with both excitement and fear. Grabbing Heber Adam hugged him tightly whispering, "Thank you Saad, Saad…"

Heber laughed instead "Haha! Don't fret it. All's well that ends well! Come on get up." he dabbed his back. Adam regaining his usual enthusiasm once again stood up waving, "Yahoo!! Guys, I am also up haha!! Come on up every one. I'll grab you!!"

Ryan and Ezekiel eyed him speechless.

"That idoit, smiling like that after snatching the entire earth out of our feet?" Cassiel said annoyed.

Alan sighing a breath relief continued to climb up. All of a sudden he quivered, his vision turning black from looking up too much. He blinked his eyes trying to recover.

"What the…?! Am I losing my senses? But, I haven't used even a single skill of mine? Then why…?" he thought as a slight tap on his back suddenly pushed him up.

"What's wrong hun? Where do you think you are going now? You multi-haired brat?" Kenzo asked from behind wearing his usual sarcastic grin.

Alan twitched his brow. "Sigh~ it's this brat again…" he thought in disbelief, "God knows, he is even more annoying than my ultimate nemesis…"

"Have some respect rascal, I am your senior her." Alan muttered climbing up.

Kenzo smirked, "My senior hun? I seriously doubt that."

Alan listless enough to start a quarrel, rolled his eyes.
