Chereads / KINGS OF CRICKET: The Golden Era / Chapter 96 - (Part 2)

Chapter 96 - (Part 2)

"Orange haired friend…? Do you mean his highness Isa?" asked Alan interested.

Kenzo hearing the word his highness clicked his tongue annoyed, "Tch, Isa or whomever he is, I damn care. You're going down Alan." he headed towards the batting pitch.

"Let me and my queen show you… how real cricket is played when in a single over there are six sixes' thrown simultaneously one after another…" he whispered with a smirk.

Alan hearing his words stood stunned.

"Six sixes' in an over?! Is he out of his mind?! That would mean, the whole over is a perfect over for him!" asked Noah baffled.

"Is this even possible?" asked Aigou.

Isa nodded, "Indeed, he has achieved it. That's the reason why he's so confident." "Are you serious?" asked Orion surprised as Senri eyed him intrigued. "He isn't joking and neither is it one. King of kings! That is one hell of a heavy title. Do you think it can be achieved so simply?" asked Nagi seriously.

"But to think he would challenge Alan with it. This brat sure is an over confident one." remarked Aaron while Kazuna stared at the pitch silent.

"Wohoo!! A challenge of sixes' out of all! Way to go captain, you can do it!" cheered Silas and Izack together. "Captain…" Azazel gulped.

"Looks like he is really serious." Xavier said as Poseidon agreed. "Heh… now that's interesting." Ryan grinned fascinated while Adam jumped enthusiastically.

"Now that's what I am talking about, right Sera, Sera? Go and beat him up you fake king!" he cheered oddly. Seraph sighed at Helios who smiled back.

Alan turning around smirked at Kenzo, "A Perfect over… so that's what you're after hun, King Kenzo?"

Kenzo sneered. "Haha! You bet!! Not only me but my queen as well!" he claimed ardently, "And whatever is it that I want… I'll surely get my hands on it!" he took his position. Alan sensing him smirked back.

"His queen hun? Seriously can anyone tell me who in the world is that in the first place?" asked Senri clueless.

"His bat." Kazuna replied.

"His what?!" the highschoolers completely lost asked once more.

"I can't believe he is the type to name his things like that…" sighed Ren in disbelief.

"He didn't name it, it is his queen. The only middle schooler who uses a gold bat constructed on order just for himself." Nagi told.

"Gold?!" Aigou repeated stunned.

"Just look at the bat's surface, don't you find it reflecting with the sun rays? That bat of his weighs twice heavier than a normal bat does, weighing up to 3kg. From the records it's considered as the world's heaviest bat one can hold." Nagi informed.

Isa eyeing Kenzo commented, "No wonder… he is all around Europe's number third juvenile batsman." The highschoolers hearing him turned around speechless once again. "I think I am gonna have heart attacks one after another just by listening about him and his never ending bombshells." remarked Noah baffled.

"He is even Europe's number third juvenile batsman now?" Aaron repeated dumbstruck.

"Yes, he is, just like you were told before. His is a protagonist of a novel. One can only expect wonders coming from him." Zach commented.

Kenzo raised his bat towards the sky. Dazzling by each and every crashing ray of sun light it excluded a mighty aura from not only from itself but from his king too. "Let's go my Queen… it's time we laugh at him after crushing him ourselves!" he declared,

Reaching his right hand over his right eye he whispered tracing Alan who stood tossing the ball before him, "Pinnacle of Monarchy: Royalty phase 1; Endeavour of Achievement…"

As soon the words left his lips, a radiant golden spark began to emit him as his right grey eye which turned dark gold. The entire stadium instantly turning into a trajectory grid, revealed six golden arrows aiming above boundary all around. Two over the leg side and two aiming the off one. While, one was aimed right towards Isa who sat in the front of the audiences seat with the other one behind him right before Azazel and Xavier.

Alan sensing the change in atmosphere wondered, "Did he use a skill? I can't see anything so I don't quite get it. But, from the ability emission it seems like he also achieved a pinnacle and it's called Pinnacle of Monarchy. Heh… now that's grand." he smirked.

"Wah!! Captain activated his Pinnacle of Monarchy!!" gleamed Silas while Heber and Azazel eyed him serious.

Helios standing beside them spoke up, "Seems like he wants this over to be a hell one of a grand one. Since, he hadn't gotten two overs unlike me. He decided to unleash his Pinnacle right from the beginning."

"That is indeed one of the reasons however, I think he seriously wants to laugh at Alan out loud." smiled Cassiel as Seraph nodded awkwardly. "Hehe… my thoughts exactly." endorsed Poseidon as the others sighed.

Kenzo glanced at Alan mischievously. "See those arrows Alan? They points to my predicted sixes. Let's see how you defeat them." he challenged.

Alan tossed his ball up and down with a smile thinking, "Ah… so that's what it was. They are all aims. Since I don't know where they point to I must be aware. This brat is way too over confident. A demeanor as mighty as of kings. Indeed he is fit for the title of the omniscient king. However, he still has a lot more to learn…?"

Suddenly his throat began to dry. "Hun?" he asked himself puzzled.

"Don't tell me it's the sense of taste next. It was just fine when I drank the sports water…" he wondered grim, "Looks like Kazuna was right. I have less time to lose now." he without further await rushed towards the pitch.

"King Kenzo ShahJahan… Alan Rex Lorenzo accepts your challenge!" he accepted his challenge with a mile wide grin. Kenzo tapping his bat on the batting crease grinned back ardently.

"Kenzo ShahJahan" Nagi spoke up, "a 3rd year middle schooler and a Leader like Offensive cricketer. A highly skilled ambidextrous batsman who excels in countering both fast and spin deliveries of any style. He is…" he suddenly halted in between his sentence sighing deeply.

The highschoolers on his sudden pause glanced wondering. "He is what?" asked Orion puzzled.

Nagi once again sighed, "A high class pain in the neck!"

The highschoolers hearing him blinked their eyes not even surprised.

"Is he such a big nuisance that even Nagi has to sigh twice?" asked Aigou sympathetic.

Elias smiled awkwardly. "Tell us something else. We can tell just by his sight what kind of a pain is he." Ren rolled his eyes ironically.

Evan, Haruf and Rauf listened silent. "One of the world's luckiest person to achieve Pinnacle of Monarchy at such a young age of 15. He is known as the third world achiever of the greatest juvenile rankings in the European Open cricket tournaments batting line. In which he has scored up to six gold medals and three trophies starting from age 8 to 12. Claiming him the title of 'King of Kings! Or the Omniscient King!'"

"Up until now there was not even a single player in European open who could out class his record. After achieving the highest in European open he travelled back to Pakistan and took over Atia Eden city academy, one of the famous schools and became its king including its cricket society as well. Rumors say that he defeated all his seniors when he was in 1st year of his junior middle high claiming the title of captain in just his first year. His team, since then has constantly remained in the Semifinals of the national tournaments excluding this year's where Aitcheson academy snatched victory form their hands." he explained.

The highschoolers hearing him too sighed. "Now that is one hell of a long summary…" whispered Aaron dazed as Noah and Senri agreed.

"Regarding his abilities unlike Feng, boundaries and huge sixes is what we he loves to claim. Making him the top middle schooler with the highest run rate. Moreover, he is an endurance player as well. So forget about sending him back to the pavilion simply. Even right now he is aiming for a perfect over, one can just catch a glimpse of his play." ended Nagi exhaling relieved.

"So there was more…" Orion thought speechless.
