Chapter 80 - (Part 13)

"Ah!!" shrieked Feng and Heber grabbing their heads. "It was so close!" claimed Adam, Luka and Xander. Kenzo and Xavier's stare lit up. The middle schoolers from the sight stood stunned.

"A little bit and it would've been blown away." uttered Gabriel. "Unbelievable…" whispered Seles. Alan eyeing Cassiel stood stunned for a while, none daring to utter a single word. Alan blinking his eyes gazed at his hands which were turned black and white with numbers travelling up and down.

"My eyes…?" he asked confused.

"Vision of Mechanics… that's the skill you are under right now." Cassiel told. Alan taking a deep breath closed his eyes and opened them once again to find no difference. "So… It's as if I am a robot now?!" he thought in disbelief.

"Yes… your vision is under my control. Everything you'll see from now onwards will be based on statics and math I create. Too bad, this might turn out to be your last ball." Cassiel grinned cunningly.

Alan looked the grass below which revealed itself as monochrome, dark and horrifying at the same time.

"My, my… you boy's take my wits one after another." he commented heading back to the pitch. "But, my last ball…? I don't think you are eligible enough to decide that." Alan warned grave. Cassiel smirked.

"Vision of Mechanics. It's deprived from mechanics topic in mathematics. Where you learn calculations and statistics for engineering. If you stare into Cassiel's eyes while the time he bowls using this skill, your vision is changed into as of a robot. Full of numbers and equations which are out of control." Seraph explained.

"Haha! Serves him right!" sneered Kenzo delighted as Azazel and Heber sighed speechless.

"So you mean Alan can't see us but numbers and formulas instead?" asked Aigou nervously.

"Yes, not even the pitch nor the ball. It's all numbers and all of it is under Cassiel's control." Ren added.

"What's gonna happen now?" asked Noah worried. Rauf staring at Alan stood silent.

"My vision won't change even if I blink my eyes. And, it's starting to hurt my head. Augh~ I really hate maths. Furthermore, seeing numbers and equations on top of it is more hell." Alan cried in his thoughts tapping the bat on the pitch, "So it's the last ball hun? I wonder if I would be able to make it. Or could it be there's a way to counter it…?"

Suddenly Aaron who was out of the conversation this whole time whistled loud and soft. His sight grasping Alan who stood confused. The high schoolers forgetting their worry looked at him silent.

Haruf smiling turned around to pick up a paper and a pen, throwing it towards him. Aaron instantly caught it without looking back, "Thank you, big Guy." After whistling for a while he tapped the pen on the chair while his feet onto the ground creating a strong, captivating rhythm.

Isa upon his sight blinked astonished, "Don't tell me… it's a new song?" Senri smiling took out his phone turning its recorder on.

Tapping the ground for a while Aaron sang,

"To me that lives ardently today~

And to you who will continue living ardently tomorrow~

Let's add a little courage into this song~

Together we'll head towards the frontline, prepared for our battle royale ~

Entrusting myself in your hands, we reveal the might of our bonds~

An Anthem meant only for us, for us! Who are world conquerors~"

Alan hearing his voice turned around surprised, "A new song?!"

Cassiel too stood speechless. The middle schoolers who sat baffled stared at Aaron in wonder.

"His voice…" whispered Helios marveled as Kenzo gazed wide eyed.

"So strong. Even without music, he is drumming such a strong yet graceful tune." Feng remarked.

"It sounds like a graceful yet a brave requiem." complimented Xavier.

"Tch! he messed up everyone's attention." complained Ryan. "Indeed." endorsed Gabriel who wasn't even a bit surprised.

Seraph and Adam eyeing each other admired. "Amazing…" whispered Ezekiel, Azazel and Heber stood awed. "What a weird one…" pointed Aryan as Mikael nodded. Seles sitting above smiled, "And, here we have it. It's another one now." Poseidon gazed at Aaron silently.

Tapping his feet and ending the beat Aaron looked at Alan who gleamed, "Say… how was it?" "Bravo!! Was it the chorus?" Alan asked back awed.

"No… it's the bridge. Very well since, you liked so it so much. Stop getting confused and rock." Aaron advised. Kazuna agreed, "Remember my words from before, Alan?"

Alan nodding smiled, "Yes… I do." Nidou narrowed his gaze at Kazuna and Aaron gulping his sports drink, "These rascals…"

Alan smiled singing, "To me that lives ardently today~" Cassiel tapping the ball interrupted, "A good song indeed."

"Haha! I know right! Aaron is just the best! My inspiring light! His songs are my greatest motivation! That's why… my last ball is kinda impossible!" Alan closed his eyes.

Aaron hearing his words tapped his finger gleaming, "That little fool…"

Unzipping his jacket, Alan raised his bat up in midair turning around to eye the middle schoolers. "Open your eyes boys! And look carefully. For this vision won't last for long! Make sure to engrave it in your memories!" he briefed. The middle schoolers stood wordlessly beside Cassiel.

Twirling the bat, Alan took a deep breath. A moment later a silver light crackled into the sky landing around him and the wicket in a round circle with a huge crash. Buzzing like an electromagnetic field it whizzed nonstop.

Alan's hairs standing up as if a wildfire, he gently opened his eyes to find himself still trapped in the vision of mechanics however, a relieved smirk rested his face. "Ah~ I still couldn't get rid of these numbers Nevertheless, come forth… Silver lightning Eclipse!" he called.

"What in the world…?" asked Ryan and Adam shocked. "A barrier coming from the sky?!" uttered Azazel and Heber dumbstruck.

Kenzo eyeing the sight baffled stood restless. "Silver lighting Eclipse…" Helios and Poseidon repealed. "It's surrounding the wicket and Alan continuously as if protecting them." explained Xavier. "So this is his skill…" whispered Ezekiel baffled as Gabriel eyed Alan wondering.

"It's as if a guardian ascended down to cover up for him." Feng imagined. "My eyes might go blind! It's that bright!" Damian and Mikael hid their eyes. "I know it's wrong to say it however, he looks way too cool." Aryan and Faris gulped.

"No… you aren't the only one who thinks that way…" Seraph whispered. Seles smiled, "It is just one of his skills from many. Are you that surprised?" The middle schoolers ignored him gazing at the pitch wordless.

The high schoolers looked at each other relived.

Alan tapping his bat traced Cassiel. "An electromagnetic barrier which can sense anything that crosses past it from anywhere detecting you from where the ball will come from. It doesn't matter a fast or spin. A perfect defense." Cassiel read.

Alan endorsed, "As expected of the data genius." Cassiel stepped forward balling, "Too bad, I don't have that much data on this move but, there's no harm in trying right?" "Yeah… no harm at all…" Alan positioned himself.

Cassiel throwing the ball stood straight, "Pythagoras knock out." The ball landing into Alan stumps was suddenly electrolyzed by the barrier which alerted Alan.

"Right towards the middle!" he guessed slamming his bat for a six as the ball flew towards the audience's seat from the leg side.

Cassiel taking out his glasses wore them once again.

"Possibility for a knockout… 0%." he whispered accepting his loss.
