Seraph tossing the ball dashed towards the pitch. "Now that is some real bad news hun…" Alan thought concentrating hard, "A weighed golden gauntlet, with fast deliveries and applicable speed. I am once again cornered big time."
Seraph stepping onto the pitch bowled towards Alan. A sharp throw aimed towards the center stump alerted him.
Stepping ahead, he instantly stopped it with a dot return. "Fast… even with the gauntlet on, his speed is amazing." Alan wondered, a sudden smirk revealing his face he eyed seraph inventively. "Not bad…" he commented.
"Not bad? What's the point of saying it right now? I have just begun. Save it for later, when you see marvels." Seraph replied confidently heading back.
Seles gazing at his tablet spoke up, "150.2Km/hr. with the gauntlet on… it's just unbelievable."
"Right? Not unbelievable it's just magnificent!" Kenzo praised daringly.
Azazel grasping the rail stood with his expression widened. "Amazing…" he gulped. Kenzo smirked, "So, how is it hun? Fastest baller in the world?" "Amazing…" Azazel remarked once again enchanted by the sight.
Ryan and Adam stared in wonder while Cassiel grasped his notebook tightly. "Seraph…" he whispered awed. Once again twirling the ball, Seraph dashed towards the pitch as Alan judged his surroundings staying on alert.
Stepping on the pitch he once again threw a blazing delivery towards him. "Towards the top right!" Alan read aiming his bat towards the ground. "Heavy-!!" he stuttered as soon as the ball hit the bat, once again giving a dot return which Seraph caught effortlessly. Eyeing the bat Alan stood disordered.
"What? Is it getting too hard to hit back?" Seraph questioned mischievously. "See… I knew something was wrong." Alan endorsed grasping his guess, "But, I wonder what is it that's really wrong?"
Seraph smiled, "Beginning of marvels…"
Alan once again standing on the pitch wondered, "Beginning of marvels…?"
Seraph heading back, gazed at his golden gauntlet. Zach conflicted tapped his finger on his knee as Kazuna eyed him silent. "What's on your mind?" Kazuna asked. Zachariah shaking his head stared at the pitch restless. With a single click of a finger, the gauntlet on Seraph's arm suddenly broke into two falling onto the ground with a huge thud.
"Wah!! He removed it!" shrieked Orion anxiously.
"It was expected, No need to create a fuss." Nagi rolled his eyes annoyed.
"Tch! Who's making a fuss, glasses freak?" Orion uttered cross who in turn was ignored.
"He removed it! Way to go captain!" cheered Aryan tugging Adam's shoulder. "Hehe… I am really looking forward to it." smiled Xavier as Ryan agreed. "A lion finally removed his own shackles… bring it on boy." Alan whispered.
Seraph gazing at the gauntlet which was on the ground smiled whispering, "Thank you… and I won't let you down." Turning around, he rushed towards the pitch. For an instance, Alan blinked his eyes surprised, "He's running even faster!" Stepping on the pitch he bowled hard.
A vivid grin escaping his lips he whispered, "Infrasonic glint… Wave 1."
Leaving the ball, as if shot a bullet out of the gun, the ball reached Alan. However, unable to react it went past his detection straight into wicketkeeper's hands.
Seraph eyeing his triumph gazed at the sky with his hands reaching his hairs. "Ah~ Marvelous~!" he chanted ardently.
The highschoolers including Evan and Haruf stared stunned.
"Yay! Infrasonic glint wave 1!" called Zach and Luka happily. Seles gazing at the pitch, eyed his tablet speechless. "Infrasonic glint wave 1, is Seraph's first ultra-fast delivery without his Gauntlet on. Its speed is recorded up to 161.7km/hr., rivalling many fastest deliveries all around the world." Helios explained.
"HAHA! The best! Sera, Sera is the best!' claimed Adam happily hugging Ryan and Cassiel one by one.
"It went past by…" Alan thought astounded. Standing up he eyed Seraph challenging. Wordlessly, Seraph shared expression back. Picking up the ball he once again went back. "Be serious Platinum ranker, I am not someone you should take lightly." Seraph warned.
Zach and Kazuna eyeing him sat silent. "Is this really coming from a fifteen year old kid!?" Aaron uttered in disbelief.
"Yes, it is. I get it now. Infrasonic delivery. It is not just any fast delivery. As you know Alan can return deliveries reaching 177km/hr., he should've have returned it very easily however couldn't. Do you know why?" Evan robed.
"Why?" asked Senri. Evan grasping Kazuna and Zach below asked, "Why is that Kazuna, Zachariah?"
"Because of the name Infrasonic." Zach replied.
"Infrasonic waves, sound's which a normal ear can't hear. The moment Seraph bowls, he takes away all of the ball's spin power while injecting a great pressure of force or speed instead. When the ball hits the ground, it's doesn't give away a sound, in other words, the sound it gives off, is so low that Alan can't grasp the momentum of the ball. And, when he can't grasp the momentum he can't return It." kazuna explained.
"So… it's like, Alan can't hear the ball's sound?" asked Noah.
"Not only that, but also the sight. The ball is so fast that he can't grasp its sight as well. To put it, both his sight and sound towards the ball have been cut off, neither can he sense it nor can he judge its power." continued Rauf.
"No way… does that mean Alan will lose now? He can't counter fast deliveries and now he can't even see or hear its sound?" asked Aigou restlessly. Suddenly, Nidou laughed, "HAHA!! HAHA!!" His voice echoing around. Seraph and Alan including the middle schoolers and Seles stared at him surprised.
"Has that baldy finally gone crazy?' Gabriel rolled his eyes.
"Maybe…" endorsed Ezekiel.
"You rascals blabber too much! Just shut it and watch!" Nidou scolded.
The highschoolers blinked their eyes puzzled. None daring to utter a single word next. "And while you are at it… reminisce Alan's first match against Zachariah…" Nidou whispered. Zach stared at Alan stern.
Running towards the pitch Seraph aimed towards the wicket letting go of the ball. "Infrasonic glint… wave 2." he whispered leaving the ball with immense pressure. Alan squinting his eyes grasped its position, stepping ahead he slammed his bat. "Urk!" Alan winced, "So heavy! It was a wrong judgment." Using his strength he pushed the ball towards the off side.
Taking deep breaths, he stood up gazing at his hand which quivered. "So this is his strength. Strength of someone who wears a Gauntlet. No wonder, it felt the same when I played with Zachariah for the first time." Alan thought. Seraph heading back. "This time, it was 164.3km/hr." Seles pointed.
"You're right." replied Cassiel. "He is playing beyond my expectations today." Kenzo remarked. "Sera, Sera, is really the best." Adam praised proud. Xavier patted his head while Poseidon smiled. Alan tapping the bat onto the pitch took a deep breath.
"It's as if I have lost my senses… the strength of the ball is unpredictable since I can't hear it's sound and I can't even determine its sight due to its speed. If I could just…" Alan thought as his gaze shifted over at Zachariah and Kazuna who sat on the bench.
"Kazu, Kazu…? Zach…? What are they doing there…?" he asked in an inaudible whisper. A sudden realization hit his brain.
"Eh… to think I would forget something so important. I must be a fool…" Alan realized smiling. Waving his hand towards the two of them he took his position before Seraph who approached.
Zach's lips curving into a light beam he stood up relieved. "Done now?" asked Kazuna reading him. "Yeah…" Zach replied heading back towards the audience's seat.
As soon as Seraph bowled Alan closed his eyes. "Infrasonic glint… Wave 3." he released the ball. At that moment Alan rushed forward from the batting crease towards the quarter of the pitch.
"He left the crease?!" asked Heber astonished. "Right… just like Seraph did before." Xavier noted.
"But, for a whole different reason." continued Gabriel.
"If the ball loses all its sound when it touches the ground… how about I hit it with full force before it hits it?' Alan smirked tossing his bat towards the leg side, claiming a huge six.
"Ah~ Marvelous~" he copied Seraph mischievously.
Seraph hearing him chuckled, "Haha… it doesn't suit you one bit."
"Hehe… I know, right?" Alan replied back.
"Yahoo! it's a six! Alan's six after such a long wait!" cheered Noah. Nidou sighed. "A great strategy." complimented Haruf as Zach agreed. "
Finally, relieved are you?" asked Isa caringly. Zach eyeing him nodded. "That's great then." Isa replied. Kazuna closed his eyes reassured.
