Chapter 72 - (Part 5)

Kenzo listening for a long while stood with veins popping on his forehead. "Tch, says the one who just lost." he taunted.

Ryan rolled his eyes, "Shut up, I don't expect anything less from a certain someone who doesn't even step out. Coward." "What the?!" Kenzo uttered enraged.

"And… here it begins." sighed Heber as Ezekiel shook his head speechless. Poseidon walking over to Xavier patted his shoulder, Xavier eyed him with a warm smile.

"And now… Seraph Awan will rule the pitch right?" asked Seles enthusiastically. Gabriel eyeing the pitch exhaled.

"Of course! Our captain will rule next!!" cheered Xander and Zach together.

"Way to go! Time to change the game!" claimed Aryan and Luka together. "Best of luck, Sera, Sera…" whispered Adam while Cassiel gazed at him silently.

Seraph walking towards the pitch stood behind Alan who tied his shoelaces. Grasping his shadow Alan turned around.

"Ah… it's you now. Pull me up will you?" he gave his hand. Seraph grasping Alan's hand pulled him up.

"Haiz… so what is it, your call?" Alan asked dusting his trousers soon picking the ball up.

Seraph silently gazed at him not answering back. "Hm? Is something wrong, Seraph? Are you alright?" Alan asked confused. Suddenly a smile escaped Seraph's lips, "So you knew it hun… my name that is?" Alan blinking his eyes nodded, unsure of what to say.

"Alright then, take the balling first. Just like you asked me." he headed towards the batting pitch. Alan blinked his eyes muddled, "Huh? What the… what just happened?"

"What's with that kid? Does he have some kind of speech disorder?" asked Orion sarcastically. "Tone it down, Orion." disciplined Elias. "Sorry~ but just look at him. He didn't even talk properly." Orion added.

"Didn't even talk properly hun… I wonder if that's the case." Senri uttered grave. "If I were you… I won't dare say a single word." Ren added nervously.

Orion blinking his eyes wondered clueless, "And, why is that? If you won't tell me clearly I won't know!"

"To think that king will send him just after the prince, that's not good…" whispered Aaron restless. "Of course." Isa spoke, "Since, even I don't which kind of piece he is…" The high schoolers upon his comment stared at him stunned. "You're kidding right…?" Noah gulped.

Isa shaking his head rejected. Zach and Kazuna stared at Seraph seriously. "I just don't know Elias… I have a bad feeling about this guy." Aigou whispered as Elias agreed.

Nagi shoving his glasses up spoke, "To tell you the truth, he is bad news, Seraph Awan, a 3rd year middle schooler and a Volatile cricketer. A skilled All-rounder who is a left handed baller excelling in delivering fast balls. In which his infamous ones are high speed fast balls, Knuckle deliveries and off cutters. And, from his batting side, he is again a left handed player who counters fast deliveries as well. The current captain of Crescent International academy and who, alongside team had been qualified to semifinals thrice ever since his freshman year in the cricket team." "His abilities… I have no way to explain it. But one thing is clear, he is a personality changer. A person whose personality changes when he's on the pitch. A devastating ability, which has obtained him the title of 'A Second's Game changer'. Who knows what he does in his rule, in order to change the game's tides but he is a snake in sleeves. Right now, he is strengthening himself to break Zachariah's… no, world's fastest ball's record."

"No way!! Challenging the world recorder right from the beginning?! Challenging Zachariah on top of all!' asked Noah surprised. Zach hearing his words eyed Seraph silently.

"Eh… to think the former and present captain of the same academy, crash together in the same base, over the same thing, is surely interesting hun…" Ren connected amused.

"No way! Former captain?!" asked Noah shocked again eyeing Zach.

"Of course, everyone knows it." told Aaron.

"No! I didn't!" renounced Orion, Noah and Aigou together.

"A personality changer hun… not bad." spoke Evan as he stood up. Making his way beside Rauf he smiled. "What are your thoughts, elder brother?" he asked playfully.

Rauf eyeing Alan replied, "Surpass one's own limit. That's what I want to see." "One's limit hun… what exactly do you want see Rauf? A limitless Alan, when even you aren't limitless?" asked Evan confused.

Rauf hearing his words gazed at the pitch below silent. "That rascal's limit…? HAHA!! If there's one, then let me see it!" Nidou laughed loud. Evan hearing his words sighed while Haruf smiled.

"However, there's one thing that is clear in this confrontation… that both Alan and Seraph are at a huge disadvantage." Kazuna noticed. The highschoolers seriously stared at the pitch.

Alan tossing the ball up and down smiled as the wind blew softly. "It seems that this time, both of us are on an edge hun… A fast baller against a spin returner and once again a fast baller against a spin returner. Nevertheless, something still bugs me. This boy Seraph… A second's game changer isn't a shallow title, and I know it isn't just given for show… so I ought to be careful." he thought rushing towards the pitch.

"He wants to break Zachariah's world record… no wonder I feel so enthralled facing him!" he whispered throwing the ball towards him. Seraph eyeing the ball smiled gently. Stepping ahead, he stopped the ball with a dot return. "It was a normal fast delivery this time…" told Azazel.

"Yeah… and it was returned with a calm Seraph style." continued Cassiel. Alan eyeing him smiled heading back while Seraph returned the same smile back. Xavier looking them instantly chuckled. "What's wrong?" asked Kenzo.

"Hehe… no, it's nothing. I was wondering how the two of them are smiling ardently with knives placed on each other's necks at the same time." Xavier guessed. Helios and Gabriel eyed each other puzzled.

"Xavi, Xavi, what does that mean? I don't think I see a knife in either of their hands?" asked Adam innocently. Heber eyed Ezekiel with a speechless. "Is he an idoit?" asked Heber in disbelief. Xavier pated Adam's head lovingly.

"Nope, there's nothing to worry about. It's just my way of saying how high I place my hopes on my rival." he replied. Ryan and Kenzo eyed him silent.

"But… in the end Seraph is still a spin returner. It will be hard for him while facing Alan." told Azazel. "This time they both are on a great disadvantage…" continued Feng.

Kenzo smirked, "Heh… if that would've been the case, would I have sent him?" "Our game changer has to go when the game needs to be changed. No matter what the cost! Ain't I right Helios?" he asked proudly. Helios returning the same smile nodded, "Indeed..."

Alan once again rushing towards the pitch bowled hard. However, the delivery this time was twice powerful than the one before. Seraph eyeing the ball once again stepped forward returning it with another dot hit. Alan picking the ball up once again went back.

"His wicket is widely open every time he makes his way forward to return Alan's fast delivery, as if he is an offensive striker scoring boundaries but instead, he end's it with a dot return every time. What in the world is he thinking?" asked Elias puzzled.

Zach eyeing Seraph seriously whispered, "His is cunning…" "Huh?" Orion unable to interpret turned around. "Indeed his is cunning…" endorsed Isa. "Alan should be wary…" continued Nagi.

Orion looking at the three of them sighed. "Ah… how I wish to have a brain like you…" he uttered in defeat. Kazuna sighed. "And, here goes the second delivery…" whispered Senri tired.

Alan once again reaching the pitch smiled at Seraph. "Looks like, normal deliveries won't work this time hun… time for a level upgrade then." he whispered.

Suddenly, using all his strength, Alan threw the ball straight into the sky. The middle schoolers, including Seles and Seraph with the highschoolers stared at him dumbfounded.

The moment the ball went above not traced by anyone. Alan pulled up his sleeve covering his right arm revealing a black arm band inside which twelve weights were placed one after another.

Eyeing them, Alan removed six of them. Keeping them on a side, he once again closed his arm band. And, as soon as he did that, the ball came flying downwards straight into his hand.
