Alan taking a deep breath looked at Helios who picked up the ball. "Sigh~ can't believe this happened. I have been seriously careless since the beginning… No… more like scared since the very beginning…" he thought sitting before the batting wicket.
Looking at the ground below a silent sigh of regret escaped his lips, "This child… is indeed unbelievable. To push me back this much… I didn't expect that." he continued to ponder.
"Hey!! Heli, Heli! Ask for a review!!" called Adam from the pavilion. Hearing Adam's voice he glanced at the middle schoolers who drew a rectangle from their fingers pointing to ask for a review.
"Seriously…" Helios sighed smiling. Turning around he looked at Rauf and Nidou who wordlessly pointed towards a large screen which came out of the commentator's view from above.
Gazing at the sight everyone stood awed. "Wah!! Such a big screen is coming out!!" pointed Azazel and Heber excitedly.
"To think they would have installed something like this in a stadium as well. Unbelievable… I see weird views one after another here." sighed Damian as Christopher as Mikael nodded. Alan gazing at the screen smirked.
Helios walking over to him called, "Alan."
"Hm?" Alan asked back.
"You aren't nervous?" Helios asked. Alan shook his head confident, "Me? Nervous? No way. More like, why should I be? I ain't out in the first place." Hearing his words Helios blinked his eyes soon smiling.
"Really…" he thought in disbelief. The screen suddenly opened with a light flicker as it began to show a review of the last delivery.
"So cool… to think they would even record it. This base is on a whole different level." commented Feng.
"Not only that, look there are trainers watching from the commentator's section above." told Cassiel pointing towards the glass view above. "Really…? Is that even necessary?!" asked Silas and Heber dazed.
Seles nodded, "Of course it, we have to grasp data on every player's condition be it physical or mental. Since, we have to devise their progress every time. Even Kortes and Drake are watching you from up there."
"Freaky." replied Gabriel and Adam together unimpressed.
"All of you, pay attention now!" called Kenzo as the middle schoolers looked at the screen which replayed the last ball.
The middle schoolers eyed it seriously. "The ball hitting the pitch went in between Alan's feet but flunged up over the wicket at the last second…" read Cassiel.
"And since, the ultra-edge is not hit. Alan is not out…" continued Nagi. Helios looking at the screen revealing a Not Out signal sighed.
"Too bad, it wasn't in my favor." he told. Alan eyeing the screen stood up once again, "Too tell you the truth, it was in your favor. Just a little bit lower and it would've been a clear bold."
"Seriously… are you consoling your own opponent?" asked Helios. "You can take it that way." Alan winked his eye. "Ah! By the way, the delivery you just balled. What is it called?" he asked.
"Twilight Sun break." Helios replied.
"Auu~~ it could've been an out~" cried Adam sitting grumpily. "Don't worry captain! It will be out in the next ball!!" cheered David and Claude together.
"Don't worry, Helios has gone there to shake up grounds. He won't return until he does that." replied Kenzo satisfied. "Sigh~ so glad it was a not out. Got me scared for a second there." sighed Aigou and Elias patted his head.
Nagi looking at Alan sighed, "Something feels weird… Alan's perseverance has gone above my data statics. As if this decision didn't affect him at all. How can that be? He has become a lot calmer than before. What in the world happened to him back at America?"
"If it would've been Alan of the past, he would've already stood up on his guard seriously but he isn't doing that not even now." Nagi differentiated.
"It indeed feels strange. For Alan to be this cool headed. It unknowingly scares me." endorsed Zach.
"I think I'll have to ask Izack what happened back at America." Isa whispered serious. Kazuna, Orion and Senri looking at him wondered. 'Nobody does anything. Just watch. Who knows what kind of talent he might've built up in him now?" responded Rauf.
The highschoolers hearing him eyed each other worried. "Talent hun…" whispered Kazuna grave. "Twilight sun break… interesting. An in swinger of the day's last light. Well since it was about to show me my last light. How about I return it back?" Alan thought with a grin.
Helios running towards the pitch aimed towards Alan throwing the in swinger again. The ball as fast a light beam once more travelled between Alan's feet into the wicketkeeper's hand.
"Ou...!" called the middle schoolers soon stopping in between when they eyed Alan not out again. "What the hell?! Is it us or is that Alan way too lucky?!" Ezekiel uttered annoyed.
"He is indeed lucky. However, before his luck. His cunning eyes know too much." replied Kenzo.
"My sentiments exactly, just look at Alan's posture. It is changing and changing after every ball." Seraph noticed. Poseidon, Cassiel and Xavier suddenly gazed at each other surprised.
"Could it be…!" they uttered together. The middle schoolers eyed them anxiously. Helios rushing towards the pitch again bowled towards Alan. "An Out swinger this time!" pointed Azazel.
Alan eyeing the ball tried to hit it however it once again moved away from the wicket into the wicket keeper's hand. Alan gazed at the ball a smile escaping his lips.
"Not bad, only two more deliveries are left and Alan didn't even score a single boundary. Every returns turn out to be a dot one. This child is indeed really skilled. Worthy of the title of the 9th All-rounder around Pakistan." told Evan.
"Chk! Too bad, he is only 3 places behind Me." Noah stared at Helios enthralled. Rauf and Nidou eyed him silent. Alan taping his bat on the pitch waited as Helios once again bowled a harsh in swinger towards Alan.
Alan however smirked. Suddenly a misty, golden aura beginning to envelope his waist. For a moment the whole stadium went silent. Alan's long hairs rampaging as the Zone of ultimate defense surrounded him.
The in swinger making its way towards him died down as Alan picking up the bat claimed a huge six. Taking a deep breath he looked at Helios proud.
"Zone of Ultimate defense…?" uttered Ezekiel and Lucifer baffled.
"How could that be…?" whispered Poseidon clutching the rails tight.
Xavier, Ryan, Gabriel, Kenzo, Adam, Azazel and Heber too stood dazed.
Seles smiled from above, "There you have it." Cassiel glanced. "One of Alan's disguises. He has completely read Helios's Zone of Ultimate defense and is now using it against him, realizing that he is infamous for his swingers." Seles explained.
"Unbelievable… to think he would use captain's own move against him…" whispered Ebraham awed.
Suddenly Xavier chuckled, "Pft, haha…" The middle schoolers eyed him restlessly. "What is it?" asked Gabriel annoyed.
"In the end… it is still a disguise right? If you think Helios will be startled by it, then you're wrong. Since, an Ultimate paladin is till the end an ultimate paladin. He won't let his perfect defense break so easily." Xavier declared confidently.
