GRACE
"My baby is dying before it is even born," I told them with a sad face.
"Don't say that, You will find investors soon enough, trust me." My beautiful curly, Vivion said.
That made me feel a little better right away.
"Maybe you can enlist the help of your family". The little ball of shine, Valrie said.
" NO, you know my thoughts on that" I exclaimed.
Then it all was quiet for a moment.
I didn't mean to burst like that, but I need investors for my company ALLURE PUBLICATIONS, otherwise, it would be dead and gone and buried, and I can't afford that.
It has been my dream since I was 16, and I can already see it all going down the drain.
"I'm sorry guys, but I've got a lot on my plate."
"It's okay, dear, we're both here for you," Vivion said, and suddenly my mailbox pinged.
An email from EM INTERNATIONAL, 'THE EM INTERNATIONAL" saying it was interested in ALLURE and wanted to invest in it!
This was the biggest thing that happened to me in my life because Em International is one of the biggest companies in the US and they were interested in me. How so? That made me skeptical and I would be devastated to find out that my family, the mighty KANE'S, had their fingers in the pie. I told them strictly not to get involved with ALLURE as I wanted to make it stand on my own.
My family is a huge player in the business world, just like Em international. KANE CORPORATIONS has always been superior to others, but there was always a drive in me who wanted to build off something of my own and not join the Kane corporations like my brother did.
My father always tells me there's a big company waiting for me, but ALLURE is my baby and the magazines I print are so close to my heart that they're the first thing I touch in the morning.
"What happened?" Valrie asked, and I told them both about the email.
"They have asked for a meeting tomorrow at 10 am if I'm interested,"
If I'm interested, who wouldn't be?
"Wow. See, we told you and we also know you're going to blow the meeting, Grace. Good luck, my beautiful."
"I will, thanks, but right now I need to call my assistant first."
I love these girls and I am glad I met them at NYU. With that in mind, our weekly morning chat was over and I couldn't wait for tomorrow's meeting.
