The next morning and after a light, nutritious breakfast, Atsushi and Saya went to the Yokohama Central Academy for Atsushi's first day of school. There he went to his designated classroom, 2-B, where Clare was his homeroom teacher. Once in class, Clare tells him to stand up and introduce himself to everyone in class. Atsushi did so and responded, "Hi, everyone, my name is Ikari Atsushi, and my guardian spirit is Saya, a mountain spirit. I am 17 years old. I'm from Shibuya and a transfer student from the Second Shibuya High School. I can be enthusiastic and determined. I liked foreign languages and cooking. It's nice to meet you all."
He bowed deeply for a few seconds as a greeting.
Everyone in class, who came from diverse ethnic, cultural, and national backgrounds, welcomed him warmly.
"Thank you so much, everyone," Atsushi replied back, before sitting down.
"Okay, you have a very nice guardian spirit, Atsushi-kun," Clare said to him.
To everyone in class. "Alright, everyone, open your math textbooks to page 33 for factorization of polynomials."
Atsushi and the other students in class did so.
At that time, he doesn't know if most of the students in the Red Scarlet Army has guardian spirits of their own, so he included his guardian spirit in his introduction just in case.
His morning classes then followed by World History and a Foreign Language. He chose Tagalog as a tribute to his previous life as a Filipino. He enjoys those classes because back in his previous life, he was a high-score student back in high school.
