The dawn was just breaking as Seraphina woke up. It wasn't until very late at night when she finally fall asleep and considering how quickly she had woken up, she got around merely three hours of sleep.
And yet, as stepped out of her bathroom, she was filled with energy. Her heart was buzzing with anticipation for the day ahead. She was more excited than she had been in a long time. After all, today was the first of her secret weekend dates.
It was her first chance, since the mating incident, to reconnect with Arwan, to enjoy his company, away from the responsibilities of the Shadow City and the castle.
If she had to be honest, she was happy that Arwan was the first among her husbands who would spending time with her on this weekend date. Even though things had improved between them and they were almost back to their normal self, she still felt like she had been unable to reconnect with him the way she wanted, or they both needed.
