Seraphina watched as her statement widened the smile playing on Arwan's lips. And then, he leaned down to press a soft kiss to her forehead. "Good," he said, his voice a low rumble. "Because I'm not going anywhere."
They stood there like that for a while, wrapped in each other's arms. The world around them faded away.
In that moment, nothing else mattered. Not the pain, not the guilt, not the struggles they had faced. All that mattered was that they were together again, and somehow, they would find a way to heal.
"Let's go. I'm starving." He said in his usual playful tone as he pulled away from the hug and took hold of her hand.
She immediately nodded her head and the two of them made their way downstairs and toward the dining hall where Lucian, Kethan, and Raven were already waiting.
