She asked, but her voice was so soft and low that it was barely audible. Yet, Raven heard her loud and clear.
"Maybe... like this." He whispered before he closed the remaining little space between their mouths. His lips brushed against hers. Once. Twice. Soft and slow.
Seraphina gasped at the unexpected, yet expected, kiss. Instead of returning it, she pulled back her face to gaze into his eyes, searching for something even she wasn't aware of.
And all that she saw in those dark orbs was... love.
But how could-
She struggled to process what her eyes were seeing and what her heart was desperate to believe. But the memory of his nightmare kept filling her mind, reminding her of that woman.
"What's wrong? You... don't want it?" Raven asked as he took in her odd behavior and interpreted it as her refusal. He was almost about to pull away from her, to not make her uncomfortable, when she spoke.
