The new morning at the secret house was welcomed by the beautiful golden rays of sunlight. Since the blinds weren't pulled down, the sunlight filtered inside through the glass doors and filled the room on the third floor with brightness.
Yet, what pulled Seraphina out of her deep slumber wasn't the brightness, but some familiar voices that were speaking in hushed tones nearby.
"You are seriously filled with weird tricks. Just make sure that you won't make her angry this early in the morning."
She heard Arwan speaking from behind her, and from the heaviness in his voice, it was easy to tell that he too had just woken up. His hands were still wrapped around her waist and she was able to feel the warmth of his body even though they weren't touching.
"Don't be too biased against me. Why would you even think that I want to make her angry?"
