They were no longer sitting on the horses, and they only held the reins in their hands as they walked side by side leaving the dense forest.
For some reason, the two of them were enveloped in silence as they walked together with only the two horses as their companions. Even the horses didn't make a sound, and that was why the sound of their breathing sounded clear to their ears.
"Are you hungry, Your Highness? We will find a market once we get out of this forest, and we can find some food there if you want," Yu Ming finally broke the silence as he felt a little uncomfortable with the quietness.
"What kind of food do the vendors sell at the market? Do I need to eat a roasted rat or something?" Wu Jingguo responded to the question, but he didn't answer whether he was angry or not.
Hearing the Prince's sarcastic reply, Yu Ming raised his eyebrows in amusement, and he even glanced playfully at the tall man walking beside him. "How did you know that one of the vendors in the market was selling roasted rats, Your Highness? Did you hear about that from other demons?" He asked teasingly.
"…" Wu Jingguo didn't answer, but from the look on his face, he somehow looked too lazy to answer the question.
Of course, Wu Jingguo just randomly guessed about the roasted rats in the market. In his eyes, demons were filthy creatures that could eat anything. They could even eat humans or werewolves, which was why he assumed they could eat some animals like rats.
Just imagining it was enough to make him feel disgusted, and that was why he chose to ignore Yu Ming this time.
While he kept looking in front of him, Yu Ming kept glancing at him, and the fish demon frowned when he noticed how the younger man didn't even spare a glance at him.
"Are you embarrassed by our kiss earlier, Your Highness?" Yu Ming asked, and he could somehow see how the Prince flinched slightly at his question.
"How dare you call what we did a kiss? Weren't you the one who said that it was just a method to transfer your demonic aura?" Wu Jingguo asked back instead of answering, and he still didn't want to look at the shorter man walking next to him.
Yu Ming still glimpsed at the younger man, but the man still didn't want to set his eyes on him. However, Yu Ming could see how the tips of the man's ears reddened, and he was more certain that the man was embarrassed.
Smiling to himself, Yu Ming finally looked in front of him again as he replied, "Did you feel warm inside your body when you received my demonic aura, Your Highness?"
Perhaps Wu Jingguo found Yu Ming's question interesting, and that was why he finally glanced at the shorter man before asking, "Is it normal for me to feel warm because of your demonic aura?"
Wu Jingguo was attracted out of curiosity, and Yu Ming could sense the feeling. Thus, he smiled without looking at the man walking next to him, then he replied, "Maybe yes, maybe no. Maybe it's normal, but maybe not. It depends on which answer you want to hear, Your Highness."
"…" Wu Jingguo looked so done when he heard Yu Ming's ambiguous response, and he chose to stop waiting for the man's serious reply.
In the end, he could only look in front of him one more time as he no longer waited for the older man's response. Currently, he could see a source of light in front of him. "Is that the exit from this forest?" He asked.
It was almost dusk at this time, and that's why the forest became darker, but then Wu Jingguo saw a light source that was different from other areas of the forest. Thus, he assumed the two of them had finally arrived at the forest exit.
"Yes, that is the exit," Yu Ming answered. "I need to warn you that demons are different from humans, Your Highness. I am a demon who likes to appear in human form most of the time, but demons in the demon realm will appear in their true form, so you better not be surprised by what you will see later."
"It's not like I've never seen a demon before, so you don't need to warn me," Wu Jingguo annoyedly replied to the older man.
