Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Stranger

Princess Isadora was deeply entrenched in her thoughts as she ambled through the forest. The dense trees provided a comforting solitude that she so desperately craved. As the youngest daughter of the king, she was constantly surrounded by noise and bustle that came with the court. Her absent-mindedness caused her to trip over a twig that had strayed across the path, and she stumbled over it. She let out a muffled shriek as she stumbled, but before she could fall, strong hands caught her.

"Careful there," a soothing voice interrupted her fall. Isadora found herself staring into the cerulean eyes of a stranger. They were piercing and mysterious, and for a moment, she couldn't look away. He was tall, with well-defined features and raven hair that swept over his forehead.

"Who are you?" Isadora whispered, her heart racing with excitement and fear. She didn't quite understand why she was feeling this way.

"A wanderer," he answered cryptically. "And you, my lady?"

Isadora hesitated before answering. She had always been taught to be cautious of strangers. "Princess Isadora of Ardenia," she replied finally.

The stranger's eyes widened as if he had suddenly remembered something. "Ardenia," he muttered. "I must go." Before she could say anything else, he was gone, as if he had vanished into thin air.

Isadora stood there, bewildered, long after he left. She finally shook herself out of her daze, wondering if she would ever see him again. Little did she know that the stranger would change her life forever.
