Kannin had never been sealed before, so he was honestly kind of excited to see what it was like, barring everything else about the circumstances, but, perhaps as he should've guessed, being sealed wasn't fun. Kannin found himself in a dimly lit padded cell, with no windows, no light fixture, not even a door, and bound in a straightjacket. His feet were also bound in chains, and his mouth was sealed over with a gag.
'This sucks' he thought, as if being sealed was supposed to be a party
He couldn't feel his chakra flow, and the air was vacuous, as if something that had always been there around him, without his knowing, was suddenly taken away. His sense of his Flying Raijin formulas was gone as well. With the aching chill creeping across his skin--he felt utterly alone--and not in a companionship way, but as if he was the last person in the universe, with nothing else left but emptiness and chaos. It was a fascinating feeling, really.
'Right now, my only hope is Kiyo' he continued his thought, 'if she can drum up some help, I might make it out of this in one piece.'

In the outside world, Tetsu and Kakashi flashed into view at the Uchiha Compound gate. A bored, but stern looking guard jumped a little as they appeared and stammered
"W-what are you doing here?!"
The two of them, in their Anbu disguises, Kakashi in his cat-like mask and Tetsu in a rabbit-looking mask, wasted no time in demanding Warai
"We're here for Uchiha Warai on Hokage's orders. NOW" a stern voice rang out from behind the cat mask.
"U-uhhh," the guard stuttered, "I'll go get her right away..." and he promptly turned on his heels and ran inside.
About a minute later, Warai came running, wearing casual clothes and holding spatula in her right hand.
"What's going on?" She asked the nervous looking Anbu.
The one in the cat mask tersely spat out, "Come with us, we'll debrief you along the way. We have no time to waste"
Warai nodded and gave the spatula to the guard before heading out with the two Anbu.
"So," she asked between breaths, "what's going on?"
"Kannin's disappeared" the rabbit mask spoke
Warai's face immediately soured at the sentence, and her eyes began to spin listening to the rest of the mission parameters
"Minato sensed the mark he put on Kannin vanish, which means he's been sealed away or worse. The only intel we have is the direction, West. Your eyes are gonna be a big asset here, but we really don't know what we're looking for."
"Got it." she said with a stern tone, though her tank top and athletic shorts didn't match her gravity.
After a minute or two of bounding through the forest, something came bounding the other way--more specifically, the familiar form of a large grey fox with piercing green eyes leaping through the canopy with a determined look on her face.
Warai saw her first with her Sharingan, and called out,
"Kiyo!" to which the vulpine figure contorted at the sound of a familiar voice, "Kiyo, come here!"
Kiyo leapt down to where the three shinobi were running and they all paused on the ground. Kiyo recognized the look of Warai and the smell of the rabbit-mask, but not the cat mask--and considering that they looked just like Kannin's enemies, she started growling at Kakashi.
"Kiyo!" Warai pleaded, "Kiyo, it's alright, they're friends--I think. Anyways, tell us, what happened with Kannin?"
The fox, still a little jumpy, started rambling about what she remembered, "Well, Kannin summoned me and there were three strange looking people in animal masks and he put this weird thing on my back and told me to run and then they surrounded him and then he just. vanished. I can't sense him through our summoning contract anymore and-"
Absorbing the information, the three ninja were starting to get an idea on what happened, though something was worrying to them all, and they each seemed to realize in sequence, and the cat mask asked
"What did you mean 'animal masks,' Kiyo?"
"Like the one you have on" the fox answered without much thought
"Is it foreign Anbu?" the rabbit mask asked?
"No," the cat masked answered quickly, "we're too close to Konoha; plus, we're the only village that uses animal masks to my knowledge. This just got a lot more difficult." he turned to Kiyo and asked the fox, "can you track the masked people for us?"
The fox sniffed around the ground for a moment, turning this way and that, before looking back up at the three of them and saying,
"I'll do what I can!"
With that, the party had grown to 4 members: The Copy Ninja, Bloody-Eyes, The Earth Shaker, and a fox. With Kiyo leading the pack, she was quickly able to pick up the scent of the mouse-masked Anbu. The four of them rushed through the woods, branches snapping against their bodies and leaves crunching beneath their feet as they ran.
About ten minutes passed before before Kiyo slowed down, and Warai spotted first a trio of Konoha anbu, Mouse, Bird, and Dog. Mouse was in the middle holding a shoebox-sized block of jade with sprawling ink lettering creeping all over its surface.
Team Save Kannin took positions in the trees along their path, and whispered to each other,
"I'm willing to bet that block of jade is the sealing anchor" cat mask said
"I can see Kannin's chakra in the stone" Warai said, squinting her eyes at the sickly green block, "it's weak, though. Must be a powerful seal."
"Yeah," said the rabbit mask, "that's the only way to keep him locked up."
Warai added, "There's a constant stream of chakra from the mouse mask into the seal which is probably why it's so strong, but is probably means if we can separate them, it might come undone on its own."
Kakashi asserted himself and stated, "Rabbit, isolate them, Warai, deal with the Dog and Bird, I'll take care of the Mouse. Understand?"
The other two nodded and readied themselves for the coming fight.
