"Hey," David patted Joanna's back soothingly. "It is going to be alright. You will survive this".
Joanna nodded, desperately trying to believe him. She never knew Taylor has become an important part of her life until Dr. Pine announced his death. He was a sweet child and he doesn't deserve the pain he had gone through but she didn't want him dead.
"Taylor is a good kid". She cried harder. She refused to refer to him as a past, she didn't want to let go of his memory just yet.
"I know, I know". David breathed.
"I should go," She gently pulled away from David. "I am sorry, I soiled your clothes".
"No, it is alright," He said. "Wait for me to change. I will drop you".
"No, why don't you stay and finish up breakfast with your parent? I can manage".
"What is more important than taking you to the funeral?" Mr. Anderson smiled at her.
