David was surprised when Vanessa told him she was leaving for the Philippines in a week, he knew she must have signed the contract with them before telling him. He knew Vanessa was fierce and stubborn just like he was and if she set her mind to a thing, she hardly backed down. Their raw passion and competition were what kept them together. He had tried to convince her to stay, to at least get engaged to her but Vanessa was adamant and he had to accept it. It bothered him that she was going to be far and meeting was going to be hard. He wondered how the relationship would survive when both were continents away from each other.
